"Well, okay." Calyx said. She sighed with relief, she thoguth her feet would fall off!

Maksis nodded to her and began to walk in the same direction they had been going in, taking a right at the next crosswalk. He barely felt the weight of the bags in his strong hands and did not mind carrying them. He walked for a few minutes in silence before finally coming to a stop in front of the apartments. He fished his keys out of his pocket. "Do you mind if I put my food away? I'm afraid it's close to spoiling. You can stay outside if you feel uncomfortable," he said to her. Surely, this girl would think twice before coming into his home with him. He could easily overpower her and the very thought made him shudder from both terror and delight. He would like nothing more than to take advantage of her and drain her dry, but of course, he would not do that.

"Well, okay," Calyx said, sitting on the nearest bench, her legs crossed. She hugged her elbows and shivered.

"Okay, that's good," he said before flinging the door open to the apartments. He ran up the steps with lightning quick speed and arrived at his door with not the slightest alteration in his breathing. He fished the key out of his pocket and with a swift stroke, opened the door. He hurried into the room and stashed the food in the fridge and into as.sorted cupboards. His living space was kept tidy and organized, very unusual for a teenage boy. He closed the door behind him and locked it before taking his time down the steps. He didn't want to seem too fast, what with Calyx already being suspicious of him. He opened the door again and found her on the bench. He offered his hand to her to help her up while fishing his car keys out of his pocket with his free hand.

"My car is right in this lot. Come on," he said softly.

Calyx took Maksis's hand and stood up, yawning. "Comin'." she chirped.

Maksis's slender fingers found the button on his car keys that would unlock the car. As he walked up to the red Mercedes Benz, he clicked the button and the click of the locks sliding out of place hit his ears softly. He opened the pa.ssenger's side and stood holding the door open, being gracious to his host.

"Hop in," he said to her.

[Liek, Maks's Mercedes <3 Omg, pretend it doesn't have butterfly doors lol. He's not that rich. ]]

Maksis shut the door silently behind her and picked up her grocery bags, Since the car did not have back seats, he popped open the tunk and slid the bags inside. After shutting the trunk door, he opened the driver side door and slid into the car. Immediately after shutting the door and starting the car up, he turned the heat on. He reached over Calyx's body toward the pa.ssenger door and clicked a small button to her right. Heat should be warming the back of the seat now that he did that. He made no movement to do the same with his side and carefully angled the heat toward her and away from him. The engine revved as he pulled the car in reverse. The sleek, glossy red paint of the Mercedes glittered as he pulled under the street lights and onto the main road. "Okay, where to and is this comfortable enough?" He asked.

"Like I said, I just live about a mile from here. Take a left at the stop sign," Calyx pointed to a red sign. "Then another left at Emerald Rd. When we get there, I'll tell you the rest." She said. She leaned back in her chair and grinned. "Nice, its soo warm in here....." She purred, yawning some more, followed by a small cough. Calyx sighed to herself. She reeaally wanted to ask him abot the healing incident, but she didn't want to make him unconfortable.

Maksis let his hands loosen their grip on the wheel as they drove straight. He glanced at Calyx for a moment in time to see her cough again and he could not help but let loose a sigh. He could sense she was uncomfortable around him, as he could feel the tension coming off of her in delicate waves. The air was ripened with her scent, but he forced himself to ignore it. "Anything you want to ask me? I don't want you leaving thinking I'm a complete psycho and possibly dialing up the police," he said to her. "Tell me what you're thinking. Trust me, I won't get uncomfortable. I'm not that kind of person."

Maksis kept a lookout for a green house and when he found it, smoothly turned on the curb. He kept the car to a considerable crawl as they crept through the silent neighborhood. "Don't worry about it. What do you want to know about my 'healing thing'?" he asked, adding a touch of sarcasm to the 'healing thing.'
