Genessis wasn't paying attention anymore.  He was lookign at the squirrel.

"Uh.....Oh, yeah....Sure..."  He mumbled, not really sure what he was saying.  He then saw the squirrel leave, and he looked down, slightly pissed.

"LUNCH! DX"

(I was cutting gr*censored*, and some guy poked his head over the top of the fence and asked ":You buildin' a garden?"  Then I repleid with "No, dad owes the black knight some money, so we be buildin' a moat!")

"Well then, come on!" James headed toward the kitchen. He heard his own stomach growled as he tried to think of what was in the fridgerator. He wanted something he hadn't had for a while. "Hmmmm" He thought, as he p*censored*ed the living room. The fire place was still on, he needed to turn that off before he went to bed.

He went into the kitchen and opened the double door fridge, a cool fog poured out of it and covered the floors. "I have steaks! Do you like steak? I make a mean Filet Mignon." He called into the other room. Genessis hadn't followed him.

"Uhh... I meant that it tastes really good when I make it..." James said, pulling two eight ounce steaks from the fridge. They were fresh, the butler had gone to get them from the market this morning. That was one of James' favorite things about this town, there was a market place instead of a store.

He put them on the counter and went to gather the rest of the ingrediants. "My mom used to be a cheif before she got the new job... and she tought me how to make things like this." He said as he put the ingrediants on the counter as well. "Charles... the butlor... basically just stays here to keep me some company while my parents are away for weeks on end." He explained.

He turned to the oven and pulled out twor acks and readjusted one to the highest position possible. He went back and put the steaks into an ovanpan and rubbed olive oil over both of them evenly, sprinkled them with onion powder and thenwith salt and pepper. "Damn, forgot." He went back to the fridge and pulled out some bacon to rap around the steaks. He secured them with toothpicks.

He put the steaks into a broiler pan and and broiled them for 6 minutes. After the timer went offhe got up from the counter and went to flip them over. He sprinkled minced shallots over the tops of them, placing a hand on his hip as he did. He turned back to Genessis, "How do you like yours? Rare, medium well, or well done?" He asked, "Or somewhere in between any of those..."He added quickly.

James laughed. He decided if he really wantedto play this game then he'd go ahead and play along too. "Well, Rare is where the meats isn't really cooked all that much and theres a lot of pink in it. Medium well is cooked more than that, but there is still a little bit of color in there. And well done is cooked all the way with no pink at all."

He turned around the move the steaks around a little, letting them coak up the juices. "I like mine Rare." He said, flipping the one he picked for himself. "My mom used to say "Its 'still breathing' James. Just the way you like it." He chuckled at the memory.
