Ooc:// Lol. He seems bipolar to me. He has quick changing moods. And your fine on the timeskipping. It was greatly appriciated.

Naric's ears perked hearing the yawn and spun around holding a sandwich in his hand. "Morning...or well, Afternoon" The black neko greeted Miramo with a smile on his face. His eyes noticed the blanket still wrapped around the white neko and let out a satisfying sigh. "Sorry I didn't stay...the bathtub hurt" He frowned shaking his head lightly. "There's one place I won't be falling asleep again."

Naric gave a light nod before spinning around setting his sandwich down. "Here. I have something for you! It took me a while to get things right but that doesn't mean i'm completly useless, I just seem to be at a loss for cooking" He sighed digging around to grab a perfectly preserved sandwich wrapped up. "Here. I thought you might be hungry when you woke up seeing well...things were pretty rough this morning and neither of us ate. I didn't want to be rude or anything, so I made you one too. If it's gross...I tried and I apologize" he ranted walking over ro the white neko and handing the small bundle to him. "If you don't like it you don't have to eat it. I won't be offended" He said honestly not being able to remember the last time he had actually cooked something. 'Maybe he'll teach me so I wont have to depend on sandwiches and so he doesn't have to cook every day'

"I was also wondering, Miramo. If you could show me around. I havn't been anywhere but the bedrooms and if I'm going to stay...I need to know where everything is at" He said lowering his green gaze and making small circles with his foot, like a nervous child waiting to be scolded at. "I mean you don't have to, I just almost got lost looking for the kitchen" he frowned not liking the fact he didn't know where things were. His thoughts brought him back to the other day when he first arrived and observed how large the house was. The black part of the house had been his main interest, wondering why on earth he would keep his house in such a bad state like that and not fix it. Although he wanted to know what happened and his past, Naric sure wasn't about to ask. 'Yeah. The last thing I need is getting in trouble for asking'

(( Sorry this is so crappy. I was in a hurry for school ^.^ ))

((Kufufu, I might use that again some time >3 Although I think it's more mood swings than an actual different personality o_o))

Miramo blinked in surprise at Naric's friendly attitude. It was odd, to say the least. He had expected the black neko to be at least a little mad at him, yet here he was, smiling at him and acting as if nothing had happened. Miramo glanced at his bandaged hands. Maybe it was for the best this way. "It's fine," he said, giving Naric a shy smile. "Although I thank you for not stepping on me."

He leaned back against the counter, rubbing at his still sore shoulder as he watched Naric rummaging around. His ears perked up when the black neko pulled out a sandwich and handed it to him. The white neko looked genuinely surprised. It had been ages since anyone had done such a simple thing for him. Sure, he sometimes had dinner with other slave traders his dad had been *censored*ociated with, but they never seemed like kind gestures to him. Pretty much all they wanted was to see if they could get money. This was the first time someone had actually made something for him just because. Carefully, he unwrapped it, only just realizing how hungry he actually was--the last time he ate must have been yesterday morning--and took a bite. Miramo had never been a picky eater, not at all, so, to the neko, the sandwich tasted delicious, but right as he was about to say so, Naric spoke up again.

The black neko's words caused Miramo's ears to pull back slightly, although it was mostly in worry. He'd been anticipating the question, but was rather taken aback that Naric hadn't asked directly about the burned part of the mansion, which was pretty much what the white neko knew the other wanted to know about. He took a few more bites of his sandwich before setting it down and swallowing before he spoke. "To be honest, most of the mansion is just meaningless rooms that I don't really bother to go into. You've pretty much seen every room I do use. However, there is one other place I want to show you." As he spoke, he went over to the freezer and pulled out an icepack to put on his hand, which was pretty much throbbing from where he'd hit the wall. Hopefully, it would heal pretty quickly. His tail flicked nervously for some reason and he pulled the blanket around him more. Just looking at his hand brought back memories of that morning.

Ooc:// Yeah. I would call it mood swings. Kind of like Naric has. I think he's more confuesed than anything.

Bic://

Naric spun back around to the counter and took another bite of the sandwich he had made for himself. For some reason he was a little slower than he had been when eating the fruit. He just figured since he knew he wasn't going to be starved it would be rather easy to take it slow and enjoy things, instead of just rushing to inhale something knowing good and well it could be taken away. Miramo didn't seem like the type to just take things without proper reason, so he figured he was safe food wise.

The black neko's ears perked listening to Miramo explain about the meaningless rooms and that he had basicly seen all that the white neko used. His eyes widened in shock wondering if he only used a few rooms why he would keep such a large mansion. He wanted to ask, wanted to pry to get information out, but didn't say a single word. He didn't see the point in asking a million questions and upsetting things again. He would rather everything be calm and collect instead of having a repeat of this morning.

Naric's ears pulled back as he turned his gaze to the floor. Behind him his tail fell as the thoughts came rushing back to him. 'He didn't hurt me...it felt nice. Comfotable even like....No!' he thought shaking his head. He didn't understand his body's reactions to this morning's events and only thinking about it would make things even more confusing for him. He didn't know how another males touch could be so gentle and nice. Even after everything he had went through Miramo still showed him kindness and it was almost like....love. 'He couldn't. No. Just, No'

The white neko's words just now seemed to reach him, snapping him out of his thought process. When Miramo said that despite the fact he didn't use the other rooms, there was one thing he did want to show the black neko. "Okay" Naric nodded falling back into his quiet state watching as Miramo placed ice on his hand. A frown fell upon his face realizing that Miramo had infact hurt himself this morning out of spite against him, of something that he had said to upset the white neko. 'It's best to remain quiet...Don't push things and he won't hurt himself.' The last thing the black neko wanted was for Miramo to hurt himself just because of something he did.

((Hehe, thanks ^_^ And I know the feeling, but I think you're better at me than managing everything xD))

Miramo took a nearby towel that was laying on the counter and wrapped it around his hand, tying it tightly to keep the icepack in place on his bruised hand. He shifted it a few times to get it in a comfortable position on his hand, focusing on it intently until it was the way he wanted it. Once that was done, he pulled the blanket, which had been slipping from his shoulders, tighter around himself. When he was done with that, he looked up and noticed Naric's frown, he, himself, frowning as well.

"You don't... you don't have to keep quiet like that." The white neko said, his voice was mostly calm, but there was still that nervous hint to it that came from this kind of conversation. He could pretty much read the black neko like a book right now. He was worried, confused, and curious. "If you want to say or ask something, just do it." Things were supposed to get worse before they got better. That's what his mother had often told him. 'But they always get better eventually, Miramo. You just have to try.' Miramo shook his head slightly to ward away the rush of memories and pulled his blanket around him.

After another moment, the frown was gone, replaced by a content look. "Come on, we can talk on the way." He said gently, flicking his tail slightly, even though it was hidden by the sheet. He glanced back at Naric only once before making his way out of the kitchen and heading down the hall.

((Hopefully that's not too bad ^^; I haven't done any real Roleplaying since I left.))

Ooc:// It was great. lol. You think i'm handling them well? Lord you should have seen yesterday. I had like 8 up at one time then talking to my sister on Skype, plus I had to study for a biology test. I almost exploded because of all the crap I had to do. lol. Although I think I failed that biology test. Oh well.

Naric watched Miramo wondering if his hand hurt. His own palm had quit hurting a while but it still didn't block out the fact that there were still marks there. He let out a light sigh, his ears twitching at the words the white neko spoke. He didn't have to keep quiet but didn't he? Naric's frown deepened as he followed Miramo quietly, not really knowing what to say. He bit his bottom lip before pulling his hands behind his back and clasping them together.

"I don't want to speak because it seems everytime I do...I upset you" Naric said softly glancing at the ground and keeping up with the white neko. His black tail swayed back and fourth with ever step he took. He couldn't help but feel guilty for his hand, after all it was him who spoke out that lead to the event of Miramo hurting himself. "Self inflicted pain isn't good because it only means your bottling emotions inside" he added shaking his head realizing he was being an extreme hipocryte (sp) at the moment. He did the exact same thing but maybe with a little self dicipline he could over come that little habbit.

(I am soooo sorry that is so short. I'm actually mad that it is only two crappily wrote paragraphs. >.< ))

((I'm doing badly, obviously. xD Haven't been around for a while sorry. :< Although hopefully I'll be able to post more often.

And don't worry about the shortness. :< That's longer than most RPs of mine anyway. xD))

Miramo sighed, glancing back at Naric with an almost sad ex
pression. "You don't upset me, Naric, but you are right about the bottled up emotions thing." He sighed again and turned his head forward as he walked, clutching on tighter to the sheets around him. "I guess I've lived alone for so long that I've forgotten how to express my feelings around others." Chuckling sadly, he looked back at the black neko with the same ex
pression as before. "That's probably why I've grown so attached to you. I was lonely and needed a companion.

Eventually, he slowed to a stop in front of a pair of rather large, regal looking doors and pushed them open. A flick of the lights revealed a very large room with rows and rows of tall bookcases. There was a long table stretched out, in line with the doors. A few scrolls were laid out along them as well as some books and notes. The walls were painted dark with beautiful markings of different colors and the second floor, which also seemed to be part of the library, was open with a large circular hole with railing in the center, apparently so one could look down at the table from above. Hanging from the ceiling was also a large, elegant chandelier (sp) which lit up the entire room.

Miramo flicked his tail under the sheet and walked into the library, turning around after a few paces to look at Naric with a much brighter ex
pression. "So, what do you think of it?" He asked, his voice soft and calm despite his slightly excited appearance.

((Sorry for my short and rather crappy reply as well. ^^;))

{ Your fine. ^.^ I'm just glad this hasn't died. I think i'm only in....three that has a steady pace. Two on the forums and one in Rmail. Devil, you, and Tsunade are the only Rp's that i've seemed to keep. I got lost within school work although i'm  supposed to be doing a paper that is due tuesday but am going to wait till tomorow to do it...lol. I'm horrible. >.< }

Naric's ears perked forward listening to Miramo's little talk. They didn't stay perked long as he the black neko thought back to his parents and his father who had cast him out. "Your not the only one" he said in a soft whisper as his tail stopped flickering and curled around his leg. He didn't want to think about his past. That was behind him and it was going to stay behind him.

His eyes focused on the large doors studing them. He remembered the white neko had said he had seen all the rooms that he used. Maybe this was a new room or his favorite? His green gaze observed as the white neko pushed open the doors to reveal a huge library. His jaw seemed to drop as he ovserved the area, walking into it. It was huge and he did have to admit he had never seen one this large. All he had observed was the small shelf that he used to have in his room. He kept silent as he walked forward, his eyes focused on the table. He gently ran his fingers along side of it staring at the shelves streached out around him.

His right ear twitched turning and focusing on Miramo. He took a deep breath before a smile fell upon his face. "It--" Naric went to speak but he seemed to have lost his thought process trying to figure out the exact words he wished to use. "It's amazing....beautiful in a way" he spoke softly looking up at the chandelier. A stupid question ran threw his mind as he just took in the sight of all the books. 'I wonder how many of these he's actually read.....' he thought bitting his bottom lip.

The black neko let out a soft sigh realizing he would probably be the one to clean all of these books but honestly....it would be worth it. Books were amzing to him. They were the one thing that allowed Naric to escape the cruel world and get lost in an alternative universe.

{Haha.  That sucked. }

((Lol, I'm pushing make up work until the absolute last minute. xD; I think I'm worse because my stuff was already supposed to be turned it. :P But I'll try not to let this die. xD;))

Miramo smiled happily at the other's reaction, their shared love of books obvious. Finding Naric's ex
pression rather easy to read, the white neko decided to answer the question he knew was running though the black neko's mind. "I've only read a small fraction of these books. This library has been built up through the generations of my family, I doubt any one of them has read the entire collection. A man could spend his life in here and maybe, if he was a quick reader, get though them all, but even then that's impossible."

After a moment's though, he risked approaching Naric, placing a hand hesitantly on his shoulder. Miramo had no idea how the black neko would react to his touch, but he had heard the sigh and knew what it meant. "Naric..." he began, looking at him seriously. "I want you to stop thinking of yourself as a slave. I know I bough you, and I know that officially I am your master, but I don't want you as a slave. I want you as a companion and as a friend. I want you to think of this house as much of yours as it is mine." Miramo sighed softly, feeling the anxiety rise in him. He was treading on thin ice by saying all this. Naric was still a stranger who could easily betray him, but something about him made the white neko trust him. "I want you to be a person, not a slave. I want you to enjoy living here with me..." He trailed off, biting down hard on his bottom lip. Where in the world was he going with all this? It sounded like a confession. What's worse was it felt like he was babbling, tripping over his own words even. He frowned and looked at the ground between them, unsure what to say and if he had said the right thing at all.

((It didn't suck. xD I think mine did though. :<))

{I think this essay I have to do is worth half my grade. lol }

Naric's ears twitched listening to Miramo explain that no one in their right mind would be able to read all the books the library held. In a way it was a waist of books but in another it was amazing that such a collection could be kept in, what seemed like, perfect condition. The black neko flinched slightly at the white one's touch. His eyes showed a hint of worry at first but kept quiet threw Miramo's little speech.

The white neko wanted him to think of this place as his home and him as a friend. In his heart he wanted to, he really did, but there was something in the back of his mind yelling at him. Telling him that that would never happen. This was his first home, Miramo was his first master but yet he would be his last? Impossible. Something had to go wrong, something always went wrong. To him it was easier to act like a slave. It meant not getting attached when that something did come and ruin everything.

The black neko seemed to suck in a breath shrugging away from the white neko's grip as he turned his back on him and walked futher into the library, reading one of the shelves. "What's the oldest book you have?" he seemed to ask glancing up towards the ceiling. "I mean...which book is the oldest when it comes to the whole pas$ed down from genration to generation thing?" He asked seeming to blow the whole conversation off about him thinking of himself as a person. Of course he was a person. Maybe not a fully functional one to fit in with society but he was a person none the less.

"I used to read when I was a kid. I got lost in stories of adventure of people traveling the world by sea, fighting off pirates and monsters comming to claim their lives..." He spoke trailing off as he ran his finger down a few of the books spines. "It was my own secret get-away. There was no where within the world of reading that I didn't like. I could be taken to a dessert or in the middle of the ocean and I would be happy non the less." his words were soft but meaningless as he spoke. He didn't know where he was going with this. It was just simply facts about himself. Pointless facts. "Mother said I had a powerful imagination. One that would take me far in life. Each birthday I would ask for a new book and each birthday they denied me just that. My father seemed to think reading was for those of less fortune. He thought it was the mark of the beast to place your mind out of the real world into one that would never in a million years exist...." Once again Naric's voice trailed off as a shiver was sent down his spine. He didn't want to remember them. He didn't want to relive his father's words but since he was already into the story there wasn't relaly any turning back now.

"Before I was taken to the slave trades....my father burned all the books I had. He told me it was for my own good. It was for my mother's good. He siad I would now have to learn what the real world was like and learn all the lessons that it threw out for it's children to learn. I was different and he didn't like that. Not one bit" he frowned closing his eyes and just remembering that bright orange and yellow fire. The sparks that snaked their way down the dry pages of countless books. He took a deep breath before letting it out and drawing back his hand from the shelf in front of him.

{Yours was cute and I apologize for the length of this post. I got....caried away. Opps. }

Miramo flinched slightly when Naric shrugged his hand away. It was to be expected, but that didn't take the sting off the action. His hand lingered where it was for a moment before dropping to his side as he watched the black neko look around, a defeated look on his face. Even when Naric spoke to him, he still seemed a bit down in his answer, not matter how hard he tried to hide it.

"The collection was first started about six generations ago... with a set of fairy tales written by hand." Miramo answered. His voice was a little high, but he hoped Naric wouldn't notice. He cleared his throat and was about to try to speak again, but the black neko speaking caught his attention, and his ears pricked forward.

Even though Naric sounded emotionless, Miramo could tell he was being told something personal. In a way, the stars meant the same to Miramo as books did to Naric. They both could just get lost in them and not worry about what was "real." It was probably this understanding that caused the last part of the black neko's story to be rather upsetting to Miramo. So, as soon as Naric was done speaking, the white neko dropped the sheet around him and raced off into the back of the library. It only took him a few seconds to get where he wanted and he quickly, but gently tugged a book off the shelf, returning to Naric quickly. Slightly out of breath, held out the book for the other male. It look old, and somewhat small, but it was also thick and leather-bound, making it look hardy.

"This," he coughed slightly and took a moment to catch his breath properly before speaking again, "this is the first volume of the fairy tale collection... y-you might like it..." Miramo said the last sentence in barely a whisper, feeling suddenly shy. He was only trying to be nice to Naric, but he couldn't be sure of how his actions would be taken.

((Sorry if that's bad. D: I'm really tired... but I'm glad I posted! x3))

Naric's ears perked listening to Miramo's words. So this whole intire collection was six generations old and had started with a hand written copy of Fairy tales. Naric couldn't help but admit to himself he was impressed. Normally collections like these started with an encyclopedia or journal of some sort not fairy tales. He wondered if somewhere in the generations of people that owned this house if one of them was a writter or journalist. A library this big wasn't this big for nothing. Someone had to be interested in books in order to start the thing.

His ears flatened though when he heard footsteps leaving he turned around noticing the white neko retreating, the sheet that was convering him, resting on the ground. He tilted his head to the side a little bit before sighing and focusing back on the books in front of him. Not now. He thought before jumping slighlty at the sudden apearance of the white neko. He thought he had actually fled and left him their but obviously not. He glanced down stupidly at the book that Miramo was offering him and hesitantly reached out taking it. So this was the famous fairy tale collection that started this whole thing, or well the first volume of it.

"Thank you" Naric spoke observing the book now in his hands. He had to admit it was beautiful not to mention old looking, but that was the beauty of it. This book probably hadn't been read in years and Naric was the one that got to do it. His tail flopped excitedly behind him as a small smile pulled at the corner of his lips.

"Hey, Miramo. When this...was started. Was someone a writter or journalist?" He asked curiously his green gaze focusing up on the white neko in front of him who was still managing to catch his breath. He didn't see the reason he went running to fetch the book but it was a thoughtful manor. It wasn't like Naric was going to run or anything. "I mean...someone must have loved books to even start a collection like this. Normally writters or journalists start it with their studies and works" he said glancing around once more before focusing back on the white neko. He gently stroked the cover of the book in his hand unconciously awaiting an answer. He could't help but perk his ears a little bit anticipating more history on the library itself.

Why was he so interested though? Just something about this one room made him feel calm and relaxed. This one room sort of felt like a home to him. He could relate to books for some reason.

{ It's fine. I'm glad you posted too. ^.^ }

Miramo smiled when Naric thanked him, and upon being asked of the library's origins, he took one final deep breath to calm his breathing before standing up straight. His tail twitched behind him lightly as he gathered his thoughts before speaking.

"The man who started this, my ancestor," Miramo began, watching the black neko closely, but not exactly staring, "was actually an traveler. Not an adventurer, of sorts. He didn't go on dangerous quests or hunt for treasures, he simply traveled across the globe. That book that your holding, was part of his life's work. He traveled to many lands, listening to the natives tell him stories, sometimes of their gods, their history, or their legends. He recorded each story then, after each trip. He would return home, translate it, then bind them into a proper book. He spent his entire life writing down these stories, and some people even visited him, asking to read his tales and, in exchange, sharing some of their own 'knowledge with him.

"Eventually, I suppose he got the idea to build this library, and many people came and visited, often contributing books to his quickly growing collection. His goal was to collect all the knowledge in the world and make it available for even the most common man. When he died, his son continued to run the library, building it up more to make sure it would last longer.

"That went on for a few more generations before my grandfather decided that being in the slave trading business was a much more profitable choice. He kept the library, but built up the mansion around it and few people visited the library anymore. It didn't take long for him to become a very popular and rich neko, and my father followed in his footsteps. I guess... I am too..."

When Miramo finished his speech, he had a far off ex
pression on his face. When he had spoke of the library and the tales of his ancestors, his ex
pression had been pleasant, as if he was imagining what it must have been like, but when he spoke of his grandfather, his ex
pression had saddened. He loved this library, just like he loved the stars. As a child, he would have given anything to be like his ancestor, traveling and seeing all those wonderful places.

However, fate had chosen something else for him, and the white neko glanced back over at Naric, a bitter reminder of what his family and he had become. He pushed those thoughts aside though. He didn't want to think of the black neko like that. He forced a rather convincing smile onto his face - well practiced from dealing with other slave traders' "sympathy" of his parent's death.
