Eve of All Saints Day. Dedicated a chapel in Saint Peters to all the Saints who did not have a dedication or a feast day. The anniversary of that dedication became a significant festival and was spread around Europe over the next century by various priests and missionaries going out from Rome.

Hallowe'en is short for All Hallows Evening (or Eve). Hallow is old english/scots for Holy or Saint. Hallowe'en means the Eve of All Saints Day. It refers specifically to the time from sunset on October 31st, when people used to start the festival of All Saints with a vigil, to sunrise on November 1st.

Rodeo, your answer was simply  //Draco! Meaning dragon or devil// I was spicifically looking for the answer that  krishtyn1 gave me. I'm sorry, but please don't ruin this for everyone else because you didn't win one. There will be plenty more. :)
