Maybe you double-clicked on the eggs while hatching them because your computer lagged or something. And if you hatched the eggs after the Res clock (not your home clock) reached midnight, it won't let you hatch any more that day.

If your a merchant, you might have hatched one before and one after the reset, so if you were on around the time it says 12:00 on the res clock, that might be an explanation
