Just wondering: is it the egg or the percent that hatches a color?

for example:

this           egg is going to be a calico           

or, every egg is undecided and when you click "hatch" it chooses the color out of a generated series of percents.

Color is decided in the hatchery when you click hatch, not in the egg...otherwise it wouldn't be possible for Ranchers to have a 10% better chance of hatching color than Merchants. =)
