You're supposed to wait until it reaches one hundred percent before you hatch; if you hatch before that, there's a large chance of a failure, thus wasting both the egg and your hatch. After it's fully incubated, there's no chance of that at all.

I like incubation, it makes the game more realistic :). I don't understand how you wasted all your hatching turns. Isn't it logical that if a hatch failed at 30%, you should wait for 100% to safely hatch? Who risks to make the same mistake twice? And the computer does notify you, you can see a percentage and as there is "Ready" written under the egg that is fully incubated. It is not like there is nothing written, and you have to estimate the necessary time yourself. Now that would be hard.

Dude, you could pre-incubate them, yknow? As in like, start incubating when you have no more hatches, so it'll be ready by the time you do have hatches.

I'm fond of the incubation :3 Don't ask why. But as many pointed out, it's better to wait until it reaches more than 50% at the very least to gurantee a higher sucess rate. And as Ping pointed out, pre-incubating them would also be a good way to hatche eggs for the not-so-patient.

its all about patience, and still you can go and do something else while they incubate.

Incubation changes do need to be made though.

There needs to be a penalty - a rotten egg or something - if your egg is incubated for more than X minutes or hours after it's ready.

Users should be able to incubate only 3 eggs a day for ranchers, and 1 a day for merchants.

Eggs should not stay incubated when you send them to other people. (EDIT) Or maybe they should, and the rotten egg penalty should p*censored* over to the new owner of the egg. Otherwise it would be a way to get around the rotten egg penalty.
