Well, Sometimes I view the trade's, and most people are posting "Keeping Fresh" or "Storage" on egg trades.I find that quite annoying as I am having to go through loads of 'non-trades' to find a good trade. So that's when I came up with this!
EDIT: I also think there should be a rule on the trades stating the fact that eggs won't freeze.

I support. I don't like storing my eggs in the trade system but it's either that or let them rot. :/

Eggs don't stay fresh in trades. It's spam and people are supposed to report users that do it.

But it would be nice to specifically have a Storage for Eggs, where they still rot, but are out of the way. I have a bunch of Eggs that are spoiled and waiting for their Mutant forms to be released, but in the meantime they just clog up my Hatchery.
So I support under the condition that they still rot like they are supposed to.

Clouding is correct - your eggs will indeed rot and spoil in trades, and if you are using the trades thinking it will keep them fresh, you should delete all those trades now because you are one of the reasons they are becoming un-usable for the intended purpose.

A message at the top of the trades saying storing eggs in trades doesn't keep them fresh was suggested before, but I don't know if Patrick will add it.

Or there could be a cryogenic chamber where you could deposit your eggs (for a fee of course) and they stay frozen at that stage until you remove them. :3
But yeah, players should be alerted that trades don't freeze time. :/

With the way the hatchery has been changed, I don't think that the clutter is that bad anymore.
@Dawn- oh god no. The whole reason why you can no longer sell eggs or put them in your storage/show room is because that will freeze them. We don't need a place where eggs can be frozen when you can go and buy a fresh one from someone else or find a new one.

well would it be possible to have another tab in your inventory, like maybe: "storage" named, but its in a TAB still in your inventory, with the ability to move it to that tab.. and that would still get old or spoiled?

support in a way. could have an extra tab for 'frozen' eggs that stay fresh at a fee, say... 'revert to new X amount of times' one time would be... 3k (adding another 3k for each revert) by revert, i mean if it gets to 14 days, it doesn't become old, it becomes new again... then another 14 days would be another 'revert'
but i'm guessing people would keep as many eggs fresh as they can because they cost more in the market than spoiled ones. place some coding on any eggs that go into the freezer, so they can't be sold. basically you're only allowed to keep them fresh for yourself (can't stop from selling in the sb though) |

I am extremely annoyed when people put eggs in trades. As 14BM said, they aren't even being used for their intended purpose anymore.~~~~ So, I think a notice should go out that you will have x amount of tu removed, or pay a fine, or some other penalty, if you don't remove your eggs from trades by a certain time, unless you are actually trading them. This time would be around a month, so users who are not frequent wouldn't pay. ~~~~ Finding all of the people, though, would be a lot of work for staff. ~~~~ But I don't think we need a separate storage after the hatchery renovations.

Loki (Graveyardfox) is right. An alert to say that eggs will rot/spoil in item trades has already been suggested.
Perhaps we could have a report feature in Item Trades - a tiny little button at the corner - that we can press if the problem continues to occur.
