This idea is in no way stolen. Do not accuse it of being too similar to Neopets or whatever you do when you see a suggestion you dislike.

Okay, I've been thinking, as a Halloween Idea, why don't we introduce Repair Kits?

(the name, taken from 'Dye Kit' of course.)

Repair kits make the creatu all creepy. No different poses and the only thing to add in a bead or sewed on button corresponding to a few facial expressions is required. The rest of the body is all a veriation of different tones of leather browns (and possible a few bits and pieces of the natural colours?)

The creatu is all patched up, sewed up and down the legs, torso, face etc.

Possibly it should only be a special event? Like,

"A rogue jaaku descends from the sky and tears your -active creatu- to shreds! Before leaving it offers you two choices, it will either repair your creatu (to its former state) or you can do it at home"

If you choose 'do it yourself' it becomes repaired! Freankenstein style! 8D

So what do you think? Half Decent idea?

That sounds cool. But I do have one question; Does it last forever or just for the holiday?

Exactly my question, cuz I wouldn't want my favorite creatu to look all weird forever, that'd bum me out XD

It's not a bad idea.  It has the story aspect to it, at least.  I'm thinking it might be a little zany for the site's pseudo-reality -- I mean, you would think that if your pet got torn up by a rogue Jaaku, thread and patches wouldn't be quite enough to save it. xD;  Unless the rogue Jaaku actually did kill your Creatu, and all you did was taxidermise them.  Which would be both morbid and hilarious.

Eh. I suppose, but is Res supposed to be exactly realistic? :o

Because that is not the impression I got in the end :/

I am absolutely in love with this idea, since I'm morbid like that. Seems pretty unique, too. I don't think it's too far out of Res's reality--after all, the Ebilia couldn't technically be able to walk around or be alive in its teen or adult stages, and yet it manages just fine.

Ehh... *is getting into the hard-to-explain part*  Not exactly realistic, no.  Rescreatu is a fantasy universe.  Animals talk, have powers, have senses of humour.  It's already in the canon that they can die and be brought back to life.  But I think how that happens is where the cutoff occurs.  Right now, you basically have to go on a spiritual quest to bring back the souls of the dead.  Unrealistic, yes, but it still explains the reanimation in a way that most people familiar with the fantasy genre can just accept without thinking about.  Unlike most pets, Ebilias are basically undead (the impression is that they are more like possessed skeletons than living pets).  Again, easily acceptable in fantasy worlds.

It feels a bit more odd to just "repair" the Creatu yourself, since it isn't clear where the spark of life (or healing, if the Jaaku only injures your pet) is coming from.

But Tamia, could you also argur that it is something like 'magical thread'? Res has gone into dragons (their body strusture is not acceptable in the basic laws of flight), flying horses (Again.) and indeed, bringing the dead back to life in some sort of strange enchantment, or quest. Of course I'm not saying that's wrong, I love it, that's why I've stayed on this site. But as you said, ebilias seem to be posessed, perhaps this can make your creatu posessed as well? Just the repaired filaments and torn muscles to allow it to move.

If there was no patches or thread etc people would just go,

"Hold on. Why am I paying (or finding the event) for another zombie cat? (If it were the otachie, per example)"

'A spark of life' could be coming from the jaaku? If you wish for writers to explain, they could possibly say that it is an extremely powerful jaaku or something. Jaakus are spirits of the dead, and they could be blessed with such powers as posession or, in this case, 'repairing'. Also, it maybe shouldn't be that the jaaku rips your pets to shreds only to repair it again, perhaps it fell? I don't know.

A void was there when I read the deion of the jaaku, creatu can be spirits? Creatu can be possesed bodies of dead cats? Then why can't creatu be repaired?
