As a merchant is it my job to bring you fairly priced goods, not to spend all of my tu on a darn ginger otachie. It should be a little harder for us merchants to get colored pets, but to totally take away that right? Would that be fair? And not being able to participate in the seasonal egg hunt? Keep in mind that you ranchers buy eggs from us merchants, if you make it harder for us to find eggs we'll raise our prices. Do you really want to pay 500 TU for a drindian or a berrok egg? Yeah, I didn't think so.. I do agree though with your first idea, I'd love the random event of a mother chasing you away :)

I'm going to bust out my idea of, yet again, giving the Merchants only 5 hatches, making the colors a little less rarer for these five hatches (this color idea is a toss up. Not sure whether to do it or not.), and then any other creatu they want will have to be provided through purchases from Ranchers. That way they get the chance to get 5 pets with 5 names they want and everyone's skipppy happy because Ranchers are getting an income finally.

Take away hatches for Merchants completely, no. If you do that, then'd you'd have to take away buying from NPC shops for ranchers since that is a merchant's advantage. ;)

I don't think colors should be reduced either, really. I see people hatch sepias, creams, and blacks allt he time as ranchers while I am a merchant and hardly hatch one sepia or cream per month.

Also, if you haven't noticed, business isn't amazing for merchants either. It's hard to make a large profit. When I was focused on my shop more, it was difficult to make more than 50k per day.

Removing hatches from merchants would be a huge downer because some people don't have time to check to see if someone undercut every single item in their shop. Hatches are a nice way for some people with limited time to hop on, hatch, and check their shop till.

Besides, what item can merchants get to sell for over 1,000,00 tu besides dye kits? I just don't see the point of limiting merchants more. People tend to *censored*ume merchants make tons of tu, but that usually isn't the case.

daisy as to the point of raising egg prices- i'm all for it. its not right to be able to buy a seasonal egg for less than 1mil tu. i'd gladly see it at twice that, and i'd pay that too. but with the question of merchants making more profit- i've been a merchant for maybe 6 monthes and off of profit alone i've made more in those last 6 months than i did the entire time i was a rancher. whits idea, in my opinion is the best so far. limit the total amount, not abolish it.

I think the priveledges for both ranchers and merchants are fine the way they are. I think it's actually balanced out to have the best potential of economic balance :)

Yes, merchants should be a tad more limited in finding eggs - but it would kinda suck If we couldn't find any at all. Also, just because I'm a merchant doesn't mean I make that much tu. I work hard for all of pets and items, just as hard as a rancher. The trick is setting your prices at reasonable rates and always keeping your shop full. Last week I was too lazy to update my shop and only made TU off of some flowers. I recently updated all of my prices to at or below search price and have so far made 2 million TU. Every week I have to update every one of my prices so I can have my name at the top of the list. Yes, I work very hard to make my living. Take hippi for example, he worked hard to make his shop what it is, and as a result has made multi-millions. Ditto with me. It really depends on what you are good at.

Are you dedicated to constantly updating your stock and constantly adding new items at sometimes cheaper than you purchased them for? BE A MERCHANT!

Are you very lucky at hatching colors, or just a plain epic pet-namer? BE A RANCHER!

My main point is, just because I make more TU than the average user doesn't mean I just sit around and horde my TU and items. Yesterday I practically gave away a GaS omni to a good friend, a few days ago I gave a friend an aerix egg for their b-day. I actually use my earnings for the good of the community here on Res, and I encourage you to do the same. Don't just waste it all on your pets - waste it all on your friends XD ~Remember, we merchants work very hard to bring you the items you need. Seriously, we could all just raise our prices by 100% - wouldn't want to take away our hatching rights now would you?
