I love the idea. If anyone is not comfortable with putting pixels in a pixel cage, they could just choose not to participate. If we could eliminate the need [partially at least] for junk pets, and just send pets instead, why not? =)

That's true...junk pets wouldn't be needed as much, which eliminates some naturals being hatched. A plus for the economy. 8D

I do enjoy this idea, but I see where the problem is if the person never opens it and it's a good name. Perhaps instead of being like presents, the cages can just transfer the pet to the other person and automatically leave it on their profile?

I like the idea of stuffing small animals into a cramped box and giving them to strangers. So I support. I'm sure our brilliant staff would be able to work out any kinks so that it works well. |

Unless these cages were given out free, it would not help much on the junk pet problem, as most people wouldn't want to buy a 10k+ (100k+?) cage if they could do a trade with a 100 TU junkie. After all 99,9% of pet trades is not birthday present but simple pet selling business, the cheaper the better. Buy the way I never hatch junkies I just buy the cheapest one out and then resell for same price^^.

I think it would be nice to have the ability to send pets without needing junk pets, but I agree with Yaiz, the cages (or whatever you decide to call them) should not be free. Then again, they shouldn't be super expensive either, since people do like to make a profit in pet selling. In any case, support :)

They should be expensive, indeed o_0. This whole thread was started with the idea of present-pets, not pet selling. If you are a rancher you can use your Ranch to sell pets, and no need for junkies. The reason why we need two pets in the pet trading is that selling pets basically should be a rancher privilege. It is not meant to be practical for merchants.
If these cages are going to be dirt-cheap then no support from me :/. |
