Rennaisance: XD yes you could...when you play with the toy the name goes 'poof' and is no longer in the database...hence just like finding an unused name...I'm sure that's how the tags work.

Support, this is one awesome idea. I also like the fact that you could get rid of those pet's that wont sell, and you dont want.

I see where Ian is coming from. i LOVE this idea. BUT. People would abuse it. D: Say. I find the name 'Billy' in the forest. Billy is on a Nattie ahea. and i want it on a black omni.
so i make it into a squishy.
i play with the squishy so the name goes 'Poof'
so i use one name tag to change change the black omni's name to 'Billy'.
seeing as this name was now available. So instead of having to buy 2 name tags.. i only have to use one.
The squishy was free. So i saved around 3 million tu. ---- now if the name stuck on the squishy it would still help out clearing the forest...ish.
and maybe these squishies can go on pet pages as little minipets or 'Pets for creatu' but the name going poof thing would def be abused. SUPPORTY :D

Yeh, but the v1 forest system was pretty much the same, Wish. Just.. less steps to do it, and you could do it at any time of the year. And that system was pretty widely liked - not often considered too abusey to negate the positives, either. P:

Aye, I know. But I wanted to point it out that the old forest deletion system was pretty much used as a free tag all the time, just as you said this would be, and it wasn't very looked down upon. P: And that's why I said 'less steps'. xD The only difference was that didn't involve toys.

I don't think having a pet name attached to a squishy will work out. The concept makes sense, but I am pretty sure it could not be applied with the way the database is set up. I may be mistaken, but I am certain pet and item DBs are not connect. If this concept were to be applied the pet name would likely only be lost in the transformation to a toy. Anyhow, I think this is an interesting alterantive/addition to failed hatches, so I will keep it in mind! |

Wishies, ur right they would take advantage of it. But instead of the pet being made into a squishy free, maybe there should be a potion that makes into a squishy, BUT not have it available for CS pets, and instead of when you use it the name goes away, how about as soon as its a squishy? And the potion could only be available in halloween, and you have to buy the potion from the voodoo preist guy. BTW I support your Idea.

Well, people abuse the Graveyard. Kill both pets and ressurect one with the name, and tada, free tagging. I myself have never done it, though. Still support, though I rather like the concept of as soon as the pet is a squishy, it loses the name.

I support this! THat would be cool it gives us many things! Helps to empty forest! Gets rid of creatu in a good way! lets us recycle names and have toys for the creatu! I really think you should suggest this to staff!

I support this as well. There's far too many pets named random scruntches of numbers and letters. On another site I play on, there's a small reward for retiring a pet, which then can not be sold or traded but is not dead. This sounds similer and I like the idea a lot I think it would be abused a little at first, but it's already been said that the graveyard is already abused that way and the abuse would be limited to names you own or could buy since you certantly couldn't retire someone else's pet. |

why are you all worried about this being abused? i thought Eeno said "on Halloween". which would mean this is possible to do only once a year. i think that'd be more fair than having a permanent voodoo priest wandering around the site. *shudder*
