Maybe I could run a survey, to help some people with their shops. I've been looking around at Merchant and Rancher shops, and I've noticed a problem. Some people price their items/Creatu too high, and don't get very many customers, or price them too low, and I should think they have problems getting more stock. Or, Maybe I could write a few paragraphs explaining the problem and how to solve it, to go on the updates or something like that.
Users are free to price their stock as they see fit. People price things at what they think the value is, and with pets they're priced on a number of different factors.
When it comes to selling, there's competition among many users. Prices can get low if people are fighting to have the lowest price to appeal to buyers, while others might leave their stock priced at what they think is the "true value" and just wait for the cheaper priced stock to be bought up so they'll be the lowest.
There is no solution to this problem as it really isn't a problem. It's how the economy works in pretty much any multiplayer game and in real life too, granted with more variables.
It's entirely up to the shop owner how they price and value their pets, and how they sell them. If a user really wants a specific pet/item, then they can usually Rmail the user selling the pet/item in their shop, most are willing to haggle on pets/items, as long as they're not too rare, or RWN's or something.
