I just...it's really hard to keep track of who is who with how often a lot of folks change their name, and sometimes downright agitating. Especially if you can keep switching back to an old name or switch to a name someone else was using recently. It gets kind of confusing reading the forums, and on occasion, the Shout Box.
I think having ID numbers attatched to profiles' urls could really help distinguish between two people.
I don't think it'd be possible to do in the current form of the site, but I'd live to see it in the next coding update.
This could also pave the way for a mute/block system to be in place ehich could save a lot of headaches.
I won't give explicit reason as to why I am suggesting this, but all I'm saying is it's easier to avoid a user you don't want to clash with if you wouldn't have to find out the hard way that they changed their name.
