Maybe there could be an option in forums to pay with credits and then your thread/s would stay in a section at the top.
It would be (...) credits per thread, and there would be a section at the top where the threads would go.
Maybe a token or something that has a place (first, second, third place token)

PROS
~~~~~~
-people who don't get their threads read at all (moi) would buy more credits
-people could bid on spots that users had or sell their spots in the forum
-this would encourage healthy development of the res-conomy

CONS

Forums are about communication and discussion, not advertising. I don't think it's right to do this, prioritizing a thread just because someone payed for a spot. I understand that you probably would like this for advertisement threads, but still. I don't think this is a great idea. You can always advertise on the SB bro. I also don't understand how this would 'encourage healthy development of the res-economy'. Please explain this.

No Support, pretty much for what Ping said.

Forums are meant to have the latest post on top under the stickied threads (which are important but not really added to often). I only look at the threads that have new posts and ignore the stickied threads. If someone got their thread "stickied", I'd start ignoring it as well. That's just how my mind works. o3o
