Just a thought.

Every few months the eggs from a randomly chosen planet would become extinct, for a few weeks to a month. A notice to say "The eggs on Scria are becoming extinct".

It wouldn't really be true extinction then lol

Please disregard my terrible avatar. It won't let me edit it...but apparently that's being worked on -_-

I do not think it would be much of a difference if they are not available for a few month, the findable pets and eggs are all so common most users have a ton tucked away in storage :/.

But I think it would be a good idea to retire some of the common species too at some point of the game. Maybe with the release of a new species. That would help to make them more valuable and also the planets won't get overcrowded with over 20 or so species.

I think both ideas are good. :) I like the idea of roatating planet creatu the way the CS does though, just on a larger scale.

Support!

It would be really cool for some of the common creatu to get some attention!

That would definitely be cool.

There could be like, a gradual change in the egg's rarity, with an update saying so after it reaches a noticable point. Then for a while, their eggs become unfindable while the Guardians figure out what's going on and try to fix it. Kinda like those extremely endangered species that can mostly only be seen in zoos. P:

Eventually the egg might start appearing again, and the Creatu would slowly climb back into population.

Or, y'know. Something like that. 'S just my take on the idea.

True. I think some more common onces should be replaced.

D; All that's being released know is CS ones, which I can't get. *Cries*

And Kir would continue to remove "extinct" creatu from circulation.

MWAHAHAHAAHA THIS HAS TOTAL SUPPORT FROM CAS. IT DOES, IT DOES. :D

but what if Kir decides to be evil and asks for extinct creatu? That'll be kinda wet blanket-ish.

I think Kir shouldn't ask for extinct species. That would only lead to everyone getting stuck with the quest on an Albino "Extinct" o_0.

The aim of extinction wouldn't be to make that species super expensive or unavailable, but to give space for newer ones. There are quite a lot hard to get pets already. People could still buy them for reasonable price, just they cannot be found any more. The number will decrease naturally over time, with the current ones dying or getting stuck on abandoned accounts anyway.

Rather than "extinct", we could have timeframes in which certain creatu can be founed.

ie.) Myotis can only be found on Reiflem at night; Zenirix can be found on the nights of a full moon. (this one may be a bit extreme. lol)

This should cut down on the number of the common creatu being found.

Though retiring common creatu is... a really huge job. Retiring things isn't the only solution to overstock problems.

Whit's idea has a flaw though; time zones. If it's night on Res time, it will be day on the other side of the world. It gives those people an unfair advantage for finding Myotis, to use her example. People here will be asleep when they'd be findable.

im sure it would be from sun set to sun rise something like that so there is a chance everyone would get the pet, then also this would make trades happen more so its a good idea from whit

How is that unfair, Renaissance? If you want a Myotis egg then you can go buy one from some one who has stock. The purpose of this idea was to make it so that eggs were not findable so easily, not add a feature that would look pretty in writing and help nothing for the economy.

It's just like the seasonal hunt. If you aren't there for it, then you have to go buy the eggs/creatu in stock.

Or, we could make use for that Calendar on here and jot down on there what times and on what days certain eggs are available or something. Like maybe, Res had its own 'full moons' and its own time zone (Which, it kind of already does).

And then it would be on the Calendar, so everyone would know exactly when and at what time the eggs would be released.
