Okay, I don't know about you guys, but every single time I egg hunt for any egg, other eggs annoy me.
It happens to be otachie this time, but Dem drindians, berroks, and ahea make me want to squish the eggs into pulps and grind them with my boots. They also make me want to rip my hair out.
So, I propose an elimination application for eggs. It would be the ability to stop finding a certain type of egg completely until you turn the application off. It would also be so that you can only eliminate one egg per time, because if you could eliminate them all people would take advantage of it for seasonal hunts.

I had a few ideas for this. It could either be
a. A free thing that comes with the site so when you view the species page you can click a button that says "Disable Eggs", then when you want to find the eggs again it would have a button that says "Re-Enable Eggs"
b. A Cash Shop item that allows you to disable one egg at a time. It would never disappear or be out of uses.
c. An item bought in a NPC shop (Like the Black Market) that disappears with every use. It would be expensive.

Quotes of Feedback-ness:
Quoting da Drama Llama: "if it were to be introduced I would rather it be a CS or reasonably
highish tu  costing item that acted for a set amount of time. Like
reduces the chance of finding drindian eggs for 48 hours for example"

I was thinking that A would be the most practical of the three. B would bring in money for the site and make sure that it was not overused, and C would make sure it was not overused as well but allow many people to get at it.

I'm so tired of wanting to slit my throat when I see Otachie Eggs. Please, help this become a reality. Ideas are welcome. /grovels/

This is a brilliant idea!
A would be practical, B would help with the money for Res, but personally I probably like C the best. I don't know why, just. I do.

I approve meg and I think a would be the best too but, if res needed more money they could have it be B so that people don't over -use it either

I agree with Llama's suggestion, like if it were a NPC item it would have to be like 5-8 mill etc.

I was thinking that it would have to be expensive if it was C. That's why I suggested putting it in the Black Market (Because almost everything there is expensive)

Yeah. I just.. it is not Otachie bothering me. It is Myotis and Roditore! I swear I nearly jumped with joy when I found 1 Kurrabi egg.

Rejoining, I have a lot of TU that I find unused up. Got any good pets? Let me know, I might buy them

interesting proposal.
I would add an additional comment, seeing how I lingered on what to post, but what Llama said is what I was going to try and get at.

as much as i love this idea, i sadly have no support for it :c
i mean, yes if you are searching for your ebbie eggs and keep finding otachies or meikos or whatever it would make things simple, but then i kind of defeats the whole point of the egg hunt. maybe if it was disabled during the hunts to keep things fair then i could see it being somewhat possibly effective but still a bit hazy  another point is that lets say user x wants to find ONLY malal eggs, now user x has to work to find these eggs because they are meant to be rare... so user x is now able to disable each and every other egg on reiflem and just keep hitting f5 until an alert pops up. i feel that this whole system would get abused to much, and during egg hunts you could hoard a ton of those "disablers" and just use them all at once and ruin the balance of eggs as you would find them more and more often :/

thats just my opinion though :u

Canada- You do have a point.

I was thinking you could only disable one egg at a time. That way it wouldn't be taken advantage of. It would give you some error message like "Error, you cannot use more than one of these at a time." You do have a valid point though.

still, even then if you disable otachie for example, you still increase your  chances of getting rare eggs by alot :/

How would it increase the chance? What I'm suggesting is basically making a blank page for every otachie egg that you would come by. It wouldn't raise the other eggs chances, it would just take that one egg out of the system. Like, if you were going to get a berrok egg on relcore, and you took the berrok eggs away. Instead of getting a berrok egg, you would get a blank page.

^The way Meg is explaining above, it could actually be useful to further reducing the number of common eggs in the game. This would increase egg value, meaning a better source of income for both ranchers and merchants, since both can use the egg market. Merchants have more TU, they spend more in Rancher shops, then Ranchers have more TU to spend around the site and in Merchant shops. Seems like a nice circulation to me.

I also want to bring black planet-exclusive eggs, and more than just the originals. I don't think there should be a whole lot that are exclusive, just a few, but scattered among all the planets.

Another idea for reducing egg numbers would be to have groups of common eggs appear at different times of the year, say 3-4 months at a time.

No support. If you don't want to keep finding otachie and whatever types of eggs, don't hunt. Problem solved.
If you get that frustrated about it, it might not be a good idea to hunt. Like Canada said before, it basically defeats the purpose of egg hunting all together.

I don't get how it defeats the purpose of egg hunting though. You still have to search for the eggs, and they still have the same amount of rarity, you just don't have to keep seeing the Otachie Eggs. It's basically something for the convenience of the user, especially if you can only eliminate one type of egg at a time, like I'm proposing.

What I meant by defeating the purpose of egg hunting is, if you can't put up with seeing certain types of eggs, then just don't hunt. If this were to come in {and no offense to what I'm about to say next} just sounds like a thing for impatient people who can't sit down and take the time to egg hunt. {<- that's my view on it, don't take it personally} And backing it up what Canada said before about it almost giving you more chances to find more seasonal eggs, if it was to be used during a seasonal egg hunt. I think what she meant was in less refreshes, you could get let's say, double of what you would get without having meiko eggs disabled or whatever while egg hunting for Ebilia at Halloween. Even though there is no such thing as like, "Oh yeah every 100 refreshes you will stumble upon a seasonal egg" it still kind of increases the chance of finding seasonal eggs, technically.
