The 'send pet to user' needs a confirmation pop up. It's a liability on the part of the programmers that it doesn't. One wrong keystroke and WOOPS. LOST 300MIL AND A GODLY NAME. LOL OH WELL.

I understand that it's user error, but it's an extreme punishment for such an easy-to-make error. And I'm still put-off that staff didn't bother to lift a finger to correct it. Come on Res, have some programming standards please?

Again, not a liability. They can't be responsible for your typos, only their own. Nor is Staff responsible to correct your errors.

I've never lost anything to user error on my part. I copy names from the SB or Rmails, and triple check to make sure they're correct.

A confirmation would be nice, but to most it's just an unnecessary extra click. So as far as the suggestion goes, I'm neutral.

I would love a confirmation button... it would be very handy and would surely make sure that you are totally sure with who you are sending a pet to ^^

There is no need for this suggestion. I JUST tested it not 5 seconds ago. There is an "Are you sure" window that pops up when you hit "send." I don't know what browser you are using but it is there for Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, and Camino. The only one I couldn't test for was IE because Mac doesn't have anything even close to recent for that one.

In short, this already exists. I remember checking this over a month ago, probably closer to 3, and there were confirmations then too, I just thought I would recheck on every browser I had to be 100% sure.

Just like Grave, I triple-check and copy-paste anyway. Just need to take a few extra seconds and re-read the name you've typed in, no need for staff to correct for that kind of error.

It did not give me a confirmation a month ago.

I did copypasta, but I guess my copy didn't take and what pasted was the name of the previous pet I had sent, thus sending it to an inactive user.

Why are you guys so opposed to such a common-sense suggestion? Redundancies are a mainstay for all websites that have users. It's a courtesy. You do it for other important and less error prone actions. Forest release. Forest adopt. Sending items. Kir. Item collection add. Item collection remove. Clearly previous programmers thought it was a necessary implement. You should have a site-wide standard for this sort of thing.

Actually, you should add redundancies for sending tu as well.

Staff insisted that Pat add this many, many months ago, as there were so many mistakes being made by the users. We tested and double-tested to ensure that it was indeed popping up. Nothing has changed in that area of coding since then. I'm really sorry but it seems that you just overlooked it while sending.

As for staff "not bothering to lift a finger"....as you were told before, we are not allowed to correct user error. Users are expected to pay close enough attention to what they are doing to successfully follow through with it. Confirmations have indeed been added in just about every single area - that is plenty enough right there. Your response in and of itself indicates that you were not taking care or being careful: "I guess my copy didn't take and what pasted was the name of the previous pet I had sent". That right there says that you didn't even take the time to read the name of the person you were sending to...and that is a necessary step to take when sending anything.
