Classes are an important feature in Rescreatu, as you all know. This thread is for the discussion of classes. As of now, there are only 2 classes: Rancher & Merchant.

Here we can discuss the functions of the current classes, any improvement that can be made to them, or even new classes for the future.

I believe this is an important discussion, as classes have such a huge impact on the game.

Keep it civil :P

How about Merchants get all items 25% of and you cant sell your items lower than than shop price? And for Ranchers, They get Beans and name tags 1/2 off in the credit shop so they can fix up pets. I dont know just an idea XD

I like the Idea of letting Merchants have a couple more pets so pets are in more of a demand. like maybe 6??

merchants
As a merchant I would appreciate the items in the inventory to be in the
exact same order as my store when i am editing stock and also when a
user or myself are viewing my store. It would also be an advantage that
when offering on a trade or removing/storing items in the storage the
items were also in the same order.
In short a uniform order of stock in all areas. It is so time consuming when you are the owner of a large store, trying to re-stock and leaves little time for playing the rest of the site.

when clicking on an item and opening a window of options for that item,
it would be  usefull to have the option of disguarding the item, as I need
to have a large amount of stock at all times in my inventory getting rid
of items to trash titimus that have little or no value is an absoloute
nightmare when trying to find them in the drop down list (once again it
would be easier if in item uniform order) but easier still if it could be
included in the window.

I feel there should be a limit to how many of one item you may sell
in your store at any one time otherwise one person can dominate the market and
set a rediculas low price that no other merchant is able to price that
item at and make a profit from .
for example user x is extremely
rich and has a 15o/o discount card they could purcase an item in store
for 2125 tu actual store price 2500 put it in there store for 2000 and put in
30+ of this item how is any other merchant even with a discount card
expected to make any profit and when  user x does this with lots of
items it is so disheartening as there is no way they can even buy the item
out to prevent its continuation. i believe in the real world it is called price fixing. certainly not fair play
price wars is all part of the fun of the game but this price fixing takes all the fun
it all away

I think there should be a maximum amount of tu a merchant can sell any one item at
per example no more tha 10 to 15 mill, lets face it there are not many users can afford more than that  .. this would give the avarage player more hope of obtaining that rare item they so long to posess.. if some one wants more than the max amount then let them go through trades, or try at auction!

I am also in agreement that merchants should be able to have more pets and eggs should be a little rarer to find this would aid the ranchers and make  things more competitive for their sales

Well, I have an idea for both. Not that great but I give a shot.

This is an optional suggestion

Merchant - Hatch 3 pets but have 10 pets / Hatch 1 Pets but have 25 pets

Rancher - Hatch 3 pets but have 25 pets / Hatch 1 Pet but have 35 Pets

So whatcha thing?

There could be classes more of an RPG type thing.
RPG as in the classes, not like other games.... ^^''
The classes could be based on some of those things, but fit into Res's style.

Mages, Healers, Knights, etc.

Healers get a discount on the Pharmacy, and their creatu doesn't get injured often. The Resurrection Quest for reviving their creatu could be a bit cheaper, or they have a different quest altogether. Hatch 2 pets, have 20 pets

Mages can use the Book of Fire/Water/Earth/Air/Magic in the battle arena, and mix-cook lots of items with those stuff in. Something special for mages, hrm. Hatch 2 pets, have 20 pets

Knights get to have an advantage with the Battle Arena. Their creatu's stats are higher, etc, and get a discount on weapons and armor. Somehow they have to train their creatus, and that couldn't be an option for Knights. Hatch 3 pets, have 15 pets

Shopkeeper/merchant (I prefer Shopkeeper) could be another class. They get a major discount on all stores, and they can create shops to sell items. The cost to upgrade their shop gets a discount from other classes (which means every class gets to have a shop). Hatch 1 pet, have 10 pets

Creatu-Tamer: a job that lets your creatu have more energy to train. Could come hand in hand with the Knight class. Hatch 4 pets, have 24 pets

For Rancher, well, they can hatch more pets than every other class, food is a bit cheaper, and rancher shop upgrade gets a discount. Hatch 4 pets, have 24 pets

** How bout introducing a pet-slot thing in the credit shop for about 20 credits, or so? Res could benifit**

Having Res as an RPG-type game, in my opinion, would be fairly hard for the kind of site Rescreatu is. RPG games like Runescape, Maplestory and W.o.W are all much more interactive than a click click site and require much more programming.

Dawn - Nice idea Dawn, but do you think that Rescreatu could be a RPG-type of virtual pet sites?

The Society class needs something to make it worth being a Society member, and not just access to the caves...

I am a rancher but I believe a great idea has come to me! hehe.

For merchants, I have read that they would like a discard option because the Trash is to hard to locate items with the dropdown bar. Well if you could la
yer the items in your inventory (Lets say you had 25 berrok creatu eggs; instead of having them fill your inventory, it would say x25)  and at the Trash, if the drop down could also say things like:
Ahea Creatu Egg (x3)
Reiflem Sword (x1)
Berrok Creatu Egg (x25)
And after you selected what you wanted to discard, there would be another drop down box beside it asking what quantity of the item you wanted to discard.
Example:
If I only wanted to keep 5 berrok creatu eggs, I would select;

Item: Berrok Creatu Egg x25        | Quantity: 20                      [Put In Trash]

Please comment on my idea! :)  I think I was rambling too much.... x3

Why do that for just merchants?  Do that for everyone, wow.   I have 163 otachie eggs, and I'd love to get rid of 100 of them easily without deleting them.

Anyway, for classes how about alchemists?  There could be special recipe cards only alchemists can read to make interesting stuff.  They could even have their own little, size limited shop which everyone could buy from, like enhanced training potions, the slim fast I've already suggested elsewhere.

Then if you had farmers/gardeners, people could grow food, and again, have their own shop that was limited in size.  Perhaps flowers too.  Maybe recipies for this class for hybrid foods that can be grown like Indian Corn instead of just corn?

Magicians and blacksmiths too.  Blacksmiths could forge (cook) special weapons and armor that aren't readily available, and magicians could create (cook) special spells/books?  Perhaps the creatu trained by a magician develop special skills in battle as well?

All classes need class specific stores to buy things at. And having size limited shops, say 20 items max, would still give merchants the upper hand in selling.  I actually think every profession should be allowed a small shop at the very least.  Or perhaps be able to make short notes in their galleries saying an item is for sale under the item itself so we can say an item is for sale for so much, or that it is not for sale?

Oh, and make cooked items give a value when dumped in the isthums or put in a pawnshop where specialty items can be sold for a set value and bough for perhaps quadruple the price?
