Yes I know the rray is retired. I know it's meant to be rare. I know you're supposed to pay heaps for one and releasing them back into the game would decrease their value. That's what they said for the retired eggs. And yet now they get released every now and then via special credit shop offers.

I think the same could be done for the rray. There's like 370 of these in the game, which sounds like a lot (relatively) but the problem is most of them are on inactive/banned accounts. I only know around 10 owners of this item who actively play Res. I'd sure like to buy this item - I even saved up 600mil for it - but no one is selling. There are times when I've been really desperate and offered 100k for one measly zap, but there's no one online at the time who can sell me one. That, or they don't want to zap. As a player who needs zaps weekly, this is an absolute nightmare.

Of course we've all seen what happened to the calico beans. They plummetted in value because too many got released into the game. Therefore I think the rrays need to be restricted in how they can be released back. Perhaps it can be like the credit shop offer thing, so with every $100 you get an rray. And have that offer only last 5 days or something. This will ensure only a few more released into the game, keeping their value.

I understand that there are players who paid upwards of 400mil for their rrays. But on the other side of the fence, there are also players who cannot obtain this item no matter how hard they try. So wouldn't it be a nice balance if a few more rrays are released back into the game via special/temporary credit shop offers? Some real money generated for the website should keep it going better too ;)

Personally, I always saw ageless extracts as the middle ground as when used you can always change the pet age with the effect once adult. The only thing that doesn't physically change is the number and there are no benefits for younger creatu really.

The ageless extract is a good solutiion to turning pets back into babies/teens, but it still doesn't solve the problem of zapping a newborn pet into an adult, which are the zaps I like to buy. I only collect adult creatu and there are so many baby creatu I like but I
cannot buy because I can't get them to adult. If I had an rray at my
disposal, I would be buying 10+ pets everyday to add to my collection.

I know that being patient and waiting 30 days will get them adult, but I don't like cluttering my profile with pets that aren't as 'high-quality' as the ones I usually keep out. :(

Ageless Extracts are awesome if you want younger creatu, but for those, like Thow and myself, who prefer having an aged 30 pet in the adult stage, the R ray is the only item you can use to rush that process- waiting a month is... not my preferred option lol but that might be cos I'm pure lazy :P

It'd be nice to have some sort of offer open up for these things~

I'd like to see the rray as one of the possible options as an item to obtain when credits are made obsolete. Credits are not going to stay around forever, and when we do phase them out, there are going to be credits lingering around. I think that it would be safe to allow an exchange of credits for some sort of other currency or even direct exchange for items such as this, in limited form to prevent de-valuing them, as part of the method of turn-in. What do you guys think?

^I really like that idea broken, as it would encourage people to then turn in their credits. The only issue I can see from this is all the rich players buying credits en masse to get multiple rrays, so some sort of limitation would have to be applied, such as one per account?

I'm ok with that if they were limited in number such as. One per account and a very limited number available like 10. Though I feel with that we would have to put a rule out against people using other users to buy extra r rays for them or make credits non transferable. Also I think pricing would be important considering 150mil can get you 1000 credits.

I think we should limit it even further, say if your account already has an rray anywhere, in storage, inventory, shop, collection, anywhere on the account, you would not be able to purchase one. Attempts to bypass this by sending the rray to someone else then purchasing one would be against the rules and would result in a loss of the credits turned in and the rray gained and any profit gained if the rray is sold. That's just my quick brainstorm on it there, nothing official. This way by both limiting it to accounts that do not have an rray and to one per account and limiting the total number of rrays to be distributed overall, things won't get too crazy and we won't end up with one superfast merchant who drinks coffee all day and never sleeps with 50 rrays stocked in their shop for 100 million each. lol. We're more likely to end up distributing to accounts that want the rray for their own use. Yes some will want to sell and that is perfectly fine, nothing wrong with that at all, but there won't be a monopoly on what is going into the market.

That sounds fair. It'll be nice to give users a chance to own one if they don't already, while at the same time not reducing the value of the existing ones in circulation.
Just so long as it's still expensive enough that people still have to work hard to get it...
