tu auctions glitch?

So, I noticed before I bid for a 500,000 or so item/pet (I was bidding for one of each of those at the time, a baby silver kurrabi and an easero egg) that I had approximately 1,700,000. Sure enough, after only one was active I had approximately 1,200,000 tu. However, I won/ am winning neither of those auctions. But I am still missing one of the 500,000 tu. I checked my bid history for both pets and items and I have no others in my history around that price. Can someone help me figure out what went on? ^^'

In item auctions, the TU is not returned when you are outbid, it only returns when the auction ends.

This will be changed in the near future because it is annoying and doesn't make sense to work that way. ;)
