Heh, I gave my dogs a bath this afternoon.  x3  I felt like writing from my dog Onyx's point of view.  CComments and critique are appreciated.  ;o

I knew what was going to happen even before our humans shut us in the bathroom.  Even before I smelled the soap, mingled with water.  Even before I smelled the cottony scent of the towels, I knew.  It was bath time.

Copper was first, but he was just as reluctant as I was.  One of the younger human females tried to coax him in, but he wouldn’t budge.  She left us in the bathroom for a moment before returning with the large male—the Alpha of our pack.  He lifted him in, and I heard the buzz of the water rushing through the tubes.

A while p*censored*ed, filled with the wet sounds of scrubbing, scrabbling nails, the high squeak of the soap container being squeaked, and Copper’s soft whines.  Eventually, he emerged, his fur dripping.  He smelled cleaner now—no more of that deliscious cow poop sent—and he looked terrified.  The female toweled him off, and then allowed him to leave the bathroom.

And then it was my turn.  I stared at her, terrified beyond belief.  He reached for me, crooning.  I backed away from her, inching towards the door.  She sighed, leaning out of the door and hollering again.  Our Alpha entered again and picked me up.  I squealed in protest, but he dumped me in the tub.

Claustrophobia set it, and I whined.  The walls leaned in towards me, giving me no space to breathe.  I scrambled around for a moment, and then leapt out of the bath.  The female caught me by my scruff and gently guided me to the other bathroom.  I struggled against her, but gave in.  There was no escaping the bath.

I climbed into the shower without hesitation this time, knowing the battle was lost.  The gl*censored* doors slid closed behind me, and I heard the faint whirring of water in the piped.  My body tensed, and I prepared for the wet that I knew was coming.

It did, of course, but I was prepared.  I stayed stock still throughout the duration of my bath, ignoring the cool sensation of the water running over my skin, the sweet m*censored*age when it came time for the sickly-sweet smelling soap, and the water that rinsed away the stench.

I finally relaxed when the bath was over, and the gl*censored* doors barring my escape opened with a great, rolling creak.  I half leapt, half bound out of the shower, pausing to shake myself.  I stared at the female as she crooned my name.  I took one look, noticed the towel, and ran away.
