Horselova i agree heres what i have to say:roleplaying is where you can  see places youre unable to see in the real world,a dragons cave can be youre room, you can be a wizard ,freeze people with youre wand ,and express yourself in a whole new way that you neve could.The dry desert would be a place where unicorns frolicked a secret lair and the high mountans above can now be your pillow to sleep on. Its amazing!

Wow.  I don't think I could have put my thoughts on roleplayers lately better than the people here already have.  This is a great topic and I beleive that it should be stickied or something of the sorts.  For those of you who have roleplayed with me, you know that I myself try to keep away from tiny posts and poorly written ones seeing as I sometimes go into pointless detail just to make my posts a bit longer.  I think that roleplaying would be a lot better if more people did that.

Imagine this scene.  Someone who is new to roleplaying make a one sentece post.  It's no big deal to you.  They're new at it and haven't quite gotten the hang of what roleplaying is like.  But if you put some tiny post to go along with theirs, they aren't going to get much better.  I'll show you what I mean in case you don't understand.

Then the cat jumped onto the box and said " Hi. "

There are two way to reply to something like this.  Either you can make a tiny post like theirs.

The dog saw the cat jump and barked, racing over to chase her.

Or, you can make something bigger to show them that mabye they should try to add a bit more detail.

A dog saw the cat leap onto the box.  It's tail wagged furiously and it ran forward, barking loudly.  It's eyes shone with happiness at getting the chance to chase something.

Now you could possibly write a better  post than that but it really depends on what happened before then.  That was just a small example of how I made a post bigger.  Hope this helps any newer users who happen to read this ;)

P.S.-roleplayers do not like it when you yell at them to interact with your character.  If they don't it means that they saw no reason for their character to bother yours.
