Among the many Kingdoms (most of them run by self-declared rulers) Rescreatu there is the Iluvu Empire.  As discsused in previous blog entries/scrolls, Ebilias and Iluvus did exist peacefully together within it beneath the rule of Empress Fluffy and Emperor Russett.  At the time, the ratio of Ebilias:Iluvus were equal.  The Ebilias didn't really care that they lived in a place that was named for Iluvus- they had friends.  There seemed to be no difference between the Creatus- one a slightly scary Halloween pet while the other was a cuddly, fluffy, bright-pink ball of fur.  Of course, a time would come when someone would try to split up the friendship between the types.

There was an Ebilia in the Empire called Ecto.  Since the day she came, rumors flew about about how she was a witch.  A fine day many, many, years ago, she crossed the lane to do her normal shopping.  An Iluvu who begged to remain unnamed rudely shouted to her that she put shame to all Ebilias to become a witch.  Ecto had mumbled something and knocked the Iluvu into a wall with only what appeared to be a single flick.  Ecto was not seen again until a year after.  Her cottage in the Dylactil Forest remained occupant though.  The whole time she stayed out of public, colorful smoke poured and spiraled out of her chimney.

Children dared each other to go and venture near the cottage in the woods.  No, they did not disappear or die.  Those that went past the silver tulips that dotted and marked the perimeter of Ecto's property seemed to loose their memory.  They would vanish without a trace and be seen doing what they were doing two hours before without any trace of what had happened.  Finally people stopped trying to dare each other to go to her cottage and she became just another small mysterious piece of the Iluvu Empire's history.

Ecto was not old.  She was in her late twenties at the time and had no lover.  That was why everyone was shocked when she appeared strolling down the path in the main marketplace carrying two Ebilia eggs in her arms.  People who were there at the time told the press that she was heading towards the Ebilia Incubation Cavern.  The most intriguing thing was how the Ebilia eggs, instead of their normal mustard yellow and leaf green stripes, were a deep violet and glossy black.  The tiny harmless flames around them were a blood red.  Witnesses stared in shock but none approached her.  It was soon clarified by someone that Ecto was seen buying two normal Ebilia eggs at a time during the night where few were around.

The rumors started up again that Ecto had somehow bewitched the eggs.  The next day, she was seen again wearing not her usual pathwork cloaks and colorful ancient-looking charms, but normal clothes.  It was so odd to have seen a rumored-witch such as Ecto wearing pale yellow shorts and a white short sleeved shirt.  That wasn't the most intriguing thing about her appearance though.  She was accompanied by two baby black Ebilias with violet wing membranes and blood-red eyes.  Though their faces were at first scary, they acted like normal children.  Giggling and crying out excitedly, people got over their looks and decided to be polite.

The same anonymous Iluvu that had angered her a year ago happened to be there.  He was, however, not any more polite as he was when he had last met her.  Witnesses recall him calling her a pathetic person for going around painting Ebilia eggs to make it look like she could choose what colors they hatched but then buying newborns.  Once again, Ecto snapped.  The friendliness and social being that she had been that day all flew away with the wind that she cast at him.  The two baby Ebilias stopped giggling at a ladybug and their bloody-colored eyes glazed over.

Ecto was not a weak woman.  She was one of great power and ability.  It was easily *censored*umed that the two baby Ebilias- the twins, were altered by her, thus also having some capability.  An Iluvu known as Fayle commented on the power Ecto expressed at the time.

"She was like a bomb expelling magic and power from rage," She told people who weren't there.

The force of all the energy she was expelling knocked down food stalls and sent children clinging to their parents' legs.  Everyone had fallen from the great explosion.  When people got their senses back and stood up, Ecto and the two Ebilias were gone.  A few seconds after they had begun peering around and wondering where they gone, Ecto's voice shot out across them and seemed to come from nowhere; Oshyi, Qhuroa!  They will do what I have failed to do.  A barrier will descend and unleash misfortune.  People were, indeed, a little freaked out and disturbed.  Others muttered that she had lost her mind and probably wasn't powerful- just had a lot of gas.

This spread around the Empire and Ecto's cottage was even more avoided as ever- even by the troublemaking teenagers.  A sepia Iluvu called Kouzuki suggested to the public that what Ecto had said was just a fake threat that didn't mean anything.  Despite his re*censored*uring words, people still were afraid.  They immediately *censored*umed that Oshyi and Qhuroa were the twin Ebilias that had stood on either side of her that day.  It became known as the 'Curse of the Twin Black Ebilias'.  Of course, people were lazy and it shortened to the 'Curse of the Twins'.

The next morning, everything was chaos.  Fatika, the mother of Keamon, was bickering angrily with Yirie, the elder sister of Chronical.  It was, from an outsider's view; two Iluvus against two Ebilias.  People had never heard such a horrible argument.  Fatika, one who was usually calm and collected, was screaming at Yirie and trying to insult her about the most sensitive topics including Yirie's younger sister who disappeared two years ago.  In response, Yirie shouted that Iluvus were selfish beings for naming the Empire after them only and gave no credit to the Ebilias that made up the population and helped made the Empire what it was then.  Beside them, Keamon and Chronical were screaming at each other.  People around them did not interfere...yet.

At that moment, Ecto's twin Ebilias raced out from nowhere.  They had a mischievious glint in their eyes and their mouths were pulled up in a smirk.  Nobody could tell which one was which.  Fatika, Yirie, Chronical, nor Keamon paid them any attention.  Everyone else turned around in surprise- and then fear, thinking that Ecto must be nearby as well.  The twins leapt onto a bench with much more skill and grace than normal Ebilias- especially baby ones- should have.  Still, the bickering foursome did not stop.  Carnivore, a baby silver Ebilia, began to cry.

One of the twins smiled at the crowd who was staring up at them in shock, "Lady Ecto can't do things as well as she could when she was younger-"

"But she can begin our goal to spread misfortune and split things up-" The other one continued.

The first one spoke again, "-And break up the bond-"

"Between Ebilias and Iluvus!"

They jumped off the benches and ran past everyone, disappearing off to some place.  The moment the twins ran past, everyone who had previously remained neutral butted into the argument.  Even the people known to be calm started screaming and using quite vulgar language.  It was as if all chaos was released, or all the hatred was poured into the souls.  The fighting became physical and so scary, that Keamon and Chronical were seen breaking away from the rest and continuing their screaming at a distance from the adults' fighting.

Those who weren't outside at the time awoke to the commotion.  The second they stepped outside, they suddenly threw themselves into the mess, screaming and slapping as much as the others.  It was a mess.  In fact, it was such a mess, that one of the Iluvus that were able to pull themself away, quickly ran up to the palace and screamed for Empress Fluffy and Empreror Russ.    The royalties threw on their shoes and ran outside- well, they were carried by the imperial guards.

"What is this!?" Fluffy shrieked as she watched Yirie throw Fatika to the ground, "What's wrong with all of you?"

Emperor Russ stared as a sepia Ebilia rolled across the path, clashing with a black Iluvu, "What madness!"

The Empress glared at the havoc that was raging, "ENOUGH!" She shouted.

The Iluvus and Ebilias stopped fighting for a moment.  It was evident that they were dying to start fighting again- it was as if they were having the urge to destroy each other.  The twin Ebilias were no where in sight.  Fluffy and Russ stared down at them from the chairs they were sitting in lifted by the guards.  The Empress pointed at a few of the guards trailing behind and muttered something.  They nodded and began walking towards the crowd, nudging them towards their homes and trying to dissolve the mess.  It took a while, but finally everyone was calm again and back at home.

More of these situations occured and people finally realized that the cause of them were the twins.  Whenever they ran past someone, the Ebilia or Iluvu would turn around and argue with the closest being of the opposite Creatu.  The royalties grew tired of this and, by the many rumors hovering around, decided that Ecto was the source of all the trouble.  On snow white Albino Meragons, they rode into the woods (along with an army of guards) to pay a visit to Ecto and her twin Ebilias.  What happened that day did not leak out to the public or anyone who had no accompanied them.  Even the scribes did not receive information to write down- perhaps it was something that the public wasn't supposed to know.

Whatever happene, the next time the twin Ebilias were seen, they looked like normal black Ebilias.  People ran back in fear as they walked by, but they didn't have to wory as nothing happened when they p*censored*ed.  They were innocent children- it was as if they were never evil or demonic.  As for Ecto, she remained in her cottage and only came out to buy ingridients for whatever she did.  Her cottage never poured colorful smoke again, to the relief of the Iluvus and Ebilias.  The barrier that had formed since the twins' arrival fell and things were back to normal.  Many, many, years p*censored*ed and people think back on the story.  It seemed so intriguing and whenever they look at the black Ebilias, they think, How can two such innocent children cause so much havoc?  This doubt caused the story- which was once undoubtedly called as an unbelievable tale, to fall under the name 'wild legend'.

Even the witnesses caught themselves shaking their heads in disbelief and wondering if what they had experienced was just an odd dream.  The occurence in history was so odd and chaotic that it was needed to be written down.  That was our job- the scribes.  Iluvus and Ebilias in the Empire apologized for what they had done, but some were dismissed easily as it wasn't really them that had done the harm.  The magic that the twins weaved probably inserted bad emotions into the public's head.  Whatever happened, Emperor Russ and Empress Fluffy swore to keep an eye out for whatever may happen in the future that could re-raise the barrier.  This time in history became known as the 'Legend of the Twins' since people were too lazy to fully say 'Legend of the Black Ebilia Twins'.
