Erm, I don't usually get up the courage to post any writing, so here goes...

This is a themed poem referencing Bob Dylan songs, and I think the rest is kinda obvious. Umm. So yah, if you don't know dylan you may not get a lot of the references.

This is a VERY rough draft (apart from the first verse), so, er, don't be too harsh please :3 -hides-

Sad-eyed Lady of the Lowlands (Ode to Bob Dylan)

I sit and marvel at a simple twist of fate,

And Bob's-your-uncle.

Imagine the good and the great

As pebbles rolling round my head gathering mossy thoughts,

A tangle of hopes and greens.

But instead of greens, I'm all tangled up in blue.

A moon, and something

To do with a wedding - no clue.

I think I've picked the right flowers, but shouldn't I pick weeds?

They're the ones that have no right.

I'm homesick and my blanket is lost underground.

Sad-eyed and wet-cheeked

I moan I'm stuck outside the gates

Of Eden, when I haven't even tried to turn the key.

If I'd only pledge some time

I could see that I'm a big girl now, just like a woman.

I hate my self-pity,

And I pity myself for that.

Thanks a lot! -looks bashful- That's really kind of you ^^ Plus, I bet you can write poetry :)
I only started as a hobby VERY recently. And very quickly get frustrated, so leave it for a while :P

I bet I'll come back to this poem in a week or two and think "Ugh, that's awful!"

Always the way :P
