Post your random story excerpts down here. -cough-. Your. No stealing of other's book excerps and claiming it as yours. Or using someone else's excerpt without permission.

Have fun. Read, critique, share.

(ooc: This is from a book/short story thing I've had floating in my head for a while, unfortunatley I haven't actually gotten to what I am about to write. So it may seem a little confusing.  Also for those who have not seen this type of writng before I am writing as a novelist, at some time in the future, about "past" events, speciffically those surrounding one man. These "past events are in out hypothetical future. Sounds confusing, but it's not. )

Now we get to one of the more contreversial, and famous points in the life of the Emperor Jefferson I. The so called "Praetorian Guard Event" Here, unlike elswhere in the novel I will refrain with interspacing my writing with little humorfull  footnotes. (Also I refuse to hypothesize on the nature of the events, I will simply report the facts and the Emperor's reactions in that situation.)

"I would never have conquered the world if I had known there would be so much paperwork." Jefferson murmered to himself. He was seated at his desk in the "Hidden Office" going through the fruits of a flourishing beauracracy. The dull papers were in two neat stacks that reached about a half a meter off his desk. "Couldn't they have at least picked normal paper instead of this?" He gestured at the very un-white paper in his hand. "Sir, shall I have them reprinted on more, normal, paper for you?" His British butler George sarcastically inquired. "You know I could have you... What are you doing here?" The Emperor asked the ever increasing number of his guards that were streaming into the room. "Has something happened?" No responce the younger of the guards looked away from him, and the more expierenced had empty faces. "Why are you here?" Then all of it sudden a gear spun in Jefferson's head. "This is a coup." A younger guard looked up and burst up and nearly shouted "it's not a coup it's a peaceful transition of power to a more worthy government." George with his cl*censored*ic sarcastic, yet non-threatening voice responded "is that what they told you? You're fools to believe them. Whoever they are." A captain raised his gun and fired.

(occ: If you want more you have to comment on this mwa ha ha, unless of course you don't want more.. just comment okay. (I actuall stopped writnig because I'm tiredLaughingtle="Laughing" />)).
