Shadow has been a bit busy with writing poems today. She was bored in Spanish and Geometry so she wrote these.

heat

A kindling fire
of pa.ssion's desire
crackles and burns
to devour all words
Soft silent night
swept away by its plight
As love hangs strong on a wire

the bog

through the fog
that shrouds the water
we see our paths
unfold as we step
but only if you walk
through the bog

fate

Flip a coin
it lands on tail
Flip again
it lands on head
some say it be luck
but I know no such thing
as I know there
is only
fate

Pa.ssing

We twist
We turn
We sing in rhyme
but one thing's for certain
there is not enough time

We dance
We laugh
We live all we can
but one always knows
that it comes to an end

We lived
We shined
We have finally achieved
but when that's all we have left
It is time for our leave

Stars, they shine bright
On a dove in peaceful flight 

Hush, the whispers travel
As fate begins to unravel 

Churn, do the tides of war
As they turn into a roar 

Sighs, the children begin to cry
But only they will not be shy 

Again, evil lurks the streets
As cold as ice beneath their feet 

Flee, as the darkness reaps
And the clouds begin to weep 

Rain, a mirror of tears
Falling from those who sing for their dear 

Hate, these hearts have become filled
Because of those who hurt for thrill

Inspiration ~ Nothing much. This was an a.ssignment for school which is why there's personification, a simile, and er...something else I didn't like in there. ^^;

Inspiration ~ We were reading Romeo and Juliet in cla.ss and also watching the Leonardo DiCaprio (love) so this kinda flew out of my pencil. <3

Haiku Collection

Sweet and gentle breeze

Carrying the song-birds ring

Symphony of peace

Pa.ssing winds swirl by

Bringing forth warm summer’s breeze

Swaying the soft ferns

Strip full of color

Painting the sky with soft hues

Bringing forth new hope

A silent forest

Broken by the untamed howl

Wolves cry to the moon

Wind beneath my wings

Light feathers drift through the sky

Escape to freedom

                Gently falling snow

                One snowflake like no other

Slowly losing my way

Inspiration ~ Last night while I was chatting with someone special...and he hates poetry. xD

Silence

Tune of the soundless
But words nonetheless;
Soft touch
And gentle breath
Providing comfort to the soul
Bringing back what once was w.hole

Inspiration ~ it was really quiet and I was tired and then I felt a pen in my hand. Then I fell asleep and woke up to this without remembering the words I wrote. o_o

Finally finished it and I absolutely love this piece. <3

Around the red, blistering sun

Though they seem to stray

The stars will always stay

Though on this night

The moon is bright

Revealing its face to those who seek

The beauty left unmasked beneath

Inspiration ~ The moon was at its brightest last night and it will not be as bright for another twenty years. I wish I had written more, but I was too tired. <3 

First Kiss

You can't ignore
those feelings
or
the flutter of your heart;
Your breath caught in your throat
or the way

I love you
before the moment
when he leans in
and brushes
his lips
so softly

Remembrance

Marked upon my skin lay thee;
Where your arms enfolded me
Now all that's left is that memory
but it's one of many I still see

Soft is the murmur of leaves reveling

hushed is the ripple of stagnant water
broken only by the fall

pity is the unspoken thought of the wood

Inspiration ~ Went on a nature walk at Writing Camp. I was supposed to write a Haiku, but... ;-; My fingers didn't like the restraint.

Dude, they are so cool~! I don't think my poems compare....

There's a lot of emotion in these, which I think is getting harder to find these days. I don't know about you guys, but when I read poetry from my class (and mine as well) I get no vibe from them, no feeling. Great job and keep writing, derp. <3

Wow, you must have spent ages writing these, I especially love the one about romeo and juliet, it's really sad (not that I like being sad!! It's just very well done, and the fact that it can effect my mood is great) Your a very inspiring poet!!!
