Normal User Posts: 1,191	The sound of a buzzing alarm slowly wakes you from your stupor. You can't remember exactly what you were dreaming about, only that it was vaguely terrifying. Glancing down, you see your pajamas are drenched in sweat. Funny, all you can remember is close to the end. You think it had something to do with a book. But oh well, it was just a bad dream, and one you can't even remember at that. It clearly isn't im[injection]portant in the slightest. You realize you are still groggy from sleep and you're having trouble thinking coherent thoughts. Hell, you can barely remember your name. As you slowly become more and more self aware, you remember both your name and the fact that today, October 5th, happens to be your 17th birthday. What is your name? Clearly it involves Alice in Wonderland, however, I don't think I'll explain how just yet. Instead, I'll give you the basics of how this story is directly influenced by your choices. As you can see in the previous post, you have been given two command:// options. You are given a choice: You may choose one option, or the other. Every post will give you two or three new options: each will branch the plot in a different way. This first choice obviously sets up a good part of the whole story. Rest assured, however: The person not chosen will become the companion protagonist. With that said, here are some basic rules: Be polite. Critiques are welcome. Do not be upset just because your choice is not picked. In some cases, if I feel that it would lean the plot away from where I'd like it to, I will go with the other option. Opening her laptop, she sees that her computer had exploded with messages while she was asleep. madlyCapricious bothered mirroredReflection at 23:59, October 4th MC: hey eve guess what? MC: its almost your birthday, how about that? :D MC: now youll be ALMOST as old as me! but not quite. MC: i guess youre asleep... MC: anyways, its midnight now! It's your birthday today; just wanted to let you know that I sent your present a few weeks back, so it should get there in time. Nobody in their circle of friends really knew what went on with him--he could be really dodgy. Shrugging it off, Eve logged into her email. Sure enough, a sketchy-looking file showed up. Portal.vrf Download? Wasn't Portal that puzzle game? The now-17 year old had mentioned wanting it to the 'rentals, but never bothered to tell HJ, SH, or MC. Whatever. Eve presses the Download button.
