As you all probably know, I absolutely love writing. But I can't write that good anymore. Why? Because I cannot stand writing in my house. Today, I was with my mom and we went to the library to get a book for my sister's report, and all of a sudden these inspirations came to me and I felt like I had to write. And I could totally picture myself creating an awesome novel in a library or a coffee shop, or anywhere else. But when I get in my house and try to write, I feel like a caged animal and I am way too restless to write anything at all!

What should I do? This has been bothering me for months and it has been driving me absolutely insane!

If you have a laptop/palmtop/iPad/Blackberry/something wireless you can write with, the simple solution would be to go out to those places and write there. If you only use a desktop computer though, it might be a little more complex.

Maybe go to these places, (or even your backyard or wherever,)  and take a pad and a pen and just scribble down character ideas, plotlines, snatches of text, and whatever else comes to mind, then go home and organise it on the 'puter. Open up windows nice and wide and make sure there's plenty of light in the room, then just sit down and do it!

I hope this helps even a little bit, I know how you feel and it is horrible to just be getting up and wandering around the house every five minutes because you don't feel like sitting down any longer. :[ Good luck!

I've had to go on a unplanned hiatus and will not be able to get on much, if at all. I apologise for any inconvenience this causes you! If you really need to contact me, I may respond to rmails.

thanks a lot. that helps. but i guess I have to wait until I'm older since I'm too young to go to those places alone and I don't like telling my parents that I like to write. Its winter right now, and this season always makes me feel awful and that might be part of the problem. Once its spring, though, I'll probably go outside.

Yea. I always feel like a caged animal. Once, i bit the fingers of a little boy. He was asking for it. :-)
