The last bird of the day sang its lonely tune to whomever would listen as the sun set. The only movement that could be detected belonged to a grim young man as he quickly made his way home. He stopped suddenly, sensing a presence behind him. He pulled out a kunai, but before he could do anything, a silver haired man pinned him to the ground.

"Sasuke, your guard was down," Kabuto said, laughing a little when Sasuke struggled.

"Get off of me!" Sasuke grunted.

"Whatever," Kabuto released him, "but you know you're going to get in trouble with Orochimaru-sama? You're pretty lucky that he won't harm you."

Sasuke grunted and walked away from Kabuto. The medic ninja shrugged and walked home. Sasuke didn't like many things, but he liked being alone to watch the sun set. The Uchiha was thinking of how calming they were until he tripped over a round ob
ject.

When Sasuke got back up, he noticed the ob
ject was a strange looking egg. It was bright yellow and had two white horn-like things jutting out from the top of it. Curios, Sasuke took the egg home to study in the morning, for the setting sun had revealed night.

~`~`~`

In the morning, after one of Orochimaru's servants brought Sasuke breakfast,
the Uchiha took out the egg to observe it. Munching on some toast, Sasuke sensed the egg wanted to be hatched. Sasuke placed his toast down on his platter and thought hatch.

The egg cracked and a bright light poured through the openings. Suddenly, the eggshells evaporated and a small squirrel-like creature stood where the egg had been. The creature had the horns and was yellow like the egg. It let out a mewling sound and its bright fur crackled with electricity, shocking Sasuke a little.

"Ouch!" Sasuke pulled his hand away from the creature. The small creature noticed Sasuke's leftover breakfast and attacked the toast, scarfing it down. Sasuke was fascinated, until a loud rumbling shook the ground where he stood. Suddenly two creatures that look like bigger versions of the small, newly hatched one broke down one of the walls to Sasuke's room. Those two creatures must be the little one's parents. The adult creatures roared loudly and sparks flew from their fur. Their newborn immidiately ran to its parents. The parents nuzzled there young affectionately and the family walked away, leaving Sasuke in awe.

Sasuke knew what just happened wasn't a dream. Or maybe it was? Or maybe it was the magic of yesterday's beautiful  sunset.

Okey dokey, continuation!

`~`~`~`

Kabuto poked his head into Sasuke's room

"What was that-" He stood there, looking surprised, when he saw a gaping hole in Sasuke's room. "If you're going to take your anger out on something, use a stress ball," Kabuto said. As he walked away, he was muttering terrible things under his breath.

Kabuto decided to go outside for some fresh air. In the corner of his eye, he noticed a small dog-like creature. He walked slowly to it, not wanting to scare the little thing. As if mirroring him, the little creature walked to Kabuto

Kabuto picked up the creatur and looked at it closely. It was all pink and fuzzy, and had little hearts running up and down its forelegs.

"Why hello there, little one," Kabuto cooed. Deep inside, everyone had a soft spot for animals, and Kabuto's spot was particulary large.

"I loo vue!" the creature mewed.

Smiling, Kabuto replied, "Well I love you, too."

The dog-like creature seemed happy at Kabuto's response. "I loo vue! I loo vue!"

Suddenly, a storm whipped up out of nowhere. Winds whistled and slashed at Kabuto. Thunder boomed and lightning struck, causing the little creature to whimper in fear. The winds grew stronger, stronger until it ripped the creature out of Kabuto's grasp.

"No!" Kabuto screamed.

"I loo vue!" the creature cried, voicing its final message to Kabuto. It was carried away by the winds, to somwhere far away where Kabuto would never find it.

Defeated, Kabuto trudged home, all the way to his room and blew a hole in the wall of his room.

Far away from Orochimaru's hideout, a blonde girl sat in her flower shop, clearly bored for there was a storm outside, keeping the customers away. Slowly, the storm cleared revealing the warm sun and bright blue skies.

"Ino!" the girl's mother called from the back of the shop.

"Yes?" Ino replied.

"Please go pick some fresh flowers!" her mother said.

Ino then went off in search for flowers in the forest that surrounded her village. She looked up in the sky, shielding her eyes from the slight sprinkle of water. She gasped. In the sky was a marvelous display of two rainbows, one long, and the other was more vivid. The, to add to the magical moment, a bird's song rang clear and strong through the air. The song belonged to a large, colorful bird, a bird as colorful as the two rainbows. It slowed, and landed on the ground before Ino gracefully.

Ino sensed that the large bird was old, sick, and tired when it squawked pitifully and collapsed to the ground. Ino rushed to its side. She got out a few herbs she had and feed them to the oversized bird, whispering urges to the creature for it to live.

The bird looked at Ino with kind, thankful eyes. It sang a soft tune, and closed its eyes forever. Its body disintergrated into stardust and flew away to the disappearing rainbows into the sky. Nature destroys evidence that such wonderful creatures exist.  Feeling sad that she had just witnessed a terrible yet beautiful death, Ino continued to look for flowers and headed home.
