I feel a story coming on. Bare with me. >_<
Prologue - Tormented
Beginnings are always the hardest. Always the most difficult, the most painful to put together.
But every story starts somewhere.
For as long as I can remember I've been alone. I've been trapped in my own misery, my own life. It's not my fault that it stayed this way for so long. It's not my fault that I was caused so much pain, and so much suffering. And if I had been given a real chance, a real choice, I would have ended everything as swiftly and as lacking in hesitation than one could possibly imagine. If I had the choice, I would have truly died in that fight.
But I wasn't one of the lucky ones. One of the ones who gets to pass on once their hearts have stopped beating.
No, I was condemned to suffer.
I've been asked if it hurts. The answer?
Like hell.
From this you can't run. From this you can't escape.
I've been asked what it's like. The answer?
Like the keys are just out of reach before your cage.
No matter how far you try to reach.
No matter what you say in your prayers.
No matter how much your soul aches.
