A couple of days ago,
You asked me something strange.
Why do you love me?
It's hard to explain.
When you love someone as I do you,
A dictionary couldn't answer your question,
Nor a pallette of every colour in the world.
Nothing can express feelings such as mine,
In art or in writing,
In speech or in acting,
It's impossible to show.
I could describe your wonderful eyes,
That cute look you give me,
Just to tease.
The way you look at me and stroke my cheek,
Your warm, safe embraces,
And soft, loving kisses.
Your funny little jokes,
The adorable way you love to sing,
A gentleman who opens doors.
The way you smell,
That comforts me beyong anything else.
And still,
After all this,
And so much more,
That I could say...
There's no way it could even touch on explaining,
Why I love you.
