 Completely un-creative ti
tle but oh well.

Boredom inspired me to make a thread about Quartz. (Quar-artz for those who can't figure it out) I'm also hopping that this thread will bring more attention to my commissions and bring in more funds to put towards my goal.

And without further ado, the Quartz.

Kindred fursona doodle, Belle gift, Derpy Quarcat, Midnight entry, Stephany's gift, Poar for Toxicity, Eko for Flare, Liyure quick paint, Omni quick paint

This post seems pretty bland so I think I'll include a little insight.

Quar is a strictly traditional artist that uses a variety of mediums. (paint, tea, marker, cut paper, coloured pencil, pastel, pretty much any rubbish I can get my hands on) It's not that I don't like digital, I just don't possess a tablet. I was thinking of getting one soon but the last digital program I downloaded completely fried my old laptop's hardrive; I've been skeptical of digital art since. With that behind, I've developed my own style of art that includes weird angles, ruffled fur, slim arms/body structure, tiny paws, and diamond-elipse eyes.  My main inspiration in art would have to be Tim Burton, he's a pretty snazzy fellow.

There you are, thank you for stopping by.

I'm sorry, but I know this is irrelevant and I actually don't want you to do digital art. But it's just to point out to a load of people who want to do digital art that see this. YOU DON'T FRIGGIN' NEED A TABLET. I had gone 3 years of doing digital art (and doing it on a regular basis) without using a tablet. For goodness sake, sometimes I don't use my tablet even when I have one. I'd actually advise that one should learn the software and enjoy doing digital pieces without a tablet (AKA with a mouse) before even buying a tablet. Please ensure that you've tried out digital art softwares and become comfortable with them before buying a tablet. Many people buy one and end up never learning how to use their fancy tool.

I'm not being specific to you Quar (I'm actually not talking to you at all xD), it's just a warning to all those children that I'm going to whoop their butt if they ever say 'I can't do art! I dun have a tablet! Dx'. RUBBISH D<D<D<D<

With that said, I'll tall you what I think about your art. First of all, I really like the fact that you still respect traditional mediums (UNLIKE SOME SILLY CHILDREN OUT THERE D<). It's also nice to see some variety. However, your drawing style itself needs a bit of work (sorry). It looks unstructured. Which sometimes is good (in the case of Tim Burton's style for example); but in this case, it looks like you are a bit clueless on what you are doing (especially this one xD). I suggest you learn anatomy, but do not make it obvious that you did (Are you getting me? xD). Like, most people who do have a very stylized style that appears as if they don't know much about the theoretical parts of art actually learn anatomy and stuff like that and then use their knowledge to bend the laws of anatomy (alot). Most of these artists can give you a realism piece if you asked them to even though it doesn't look like they can. So, be flexible. It makes you really 1337 ;D

By the way, I suggest you look at these two people. Becky Dreistadt, there's actually a bit of a hidden eeriness in her art even though it's pretty cute. Also, she's quite a skilled painter. And Jason Shawn Alexander, his stuff is just pretty scary xD

I (HATE)' YOU

Feel the love man D:<
