I have no idea about how commisions are priced in Rescreatu, so I can only give you advice:

I don't think you're ready for selling your art quite yet. It's not the transition between traditional to digital that I'm concerned about - it's the transition from 'formlessness' to a reasonable understanding of anatomy.

Pencil and paper and GIMP are only mediums - they don't give you skill, they just are a canvas for you to work on and display your own skill. Up your skill levels.

tle="this page">http://alexhays.com/loomis/ has amazing tutorials on just that - upping your skill levels.
It focuses on humans and things though.

Okay thanks, i'm not really going for anatomical correctness-it's just my style.

'It's my style' are some of the worst words you can tell yourself.

No matter what style you're going for, anatomy IS important. Even for things like chibis, as odd as that may sound.

Stylisation doesn't mean completely discarding anatomy - it means simplifying and perhaps emphasising certain parts.

Then don't expect to get a good price for your art any time soon. It's the sad truth, but most people want art that has at least a decent understanding of basic proportions.

As a beginner asking for advice you should be trying to improve these things. What do you want advice on? By asking for advice you obviously want to improve. Learning the basics of anatomy is something every artist needs to do eventually- there is no getting around it.

Yup, you have to learn anatomy. Things just look wrong if you ignore it.
