I finally got my graphics tablet (yay!!)

I already started on a drawing of my black meiko and I'm doing the coloring but it's not finsihed yet. I'll post the unfinished pic for now but later post the whole thing but I would really like some tips as to how to do really good penpad pics.

Heres the link:

I actually have a bit more done, up to both front legs and I changed the wing to look better but how is this?

Looks pretty good. :3

I'm actually a tablet noob myself. I've been using mine for about two months now.

 Good luck. =D

Wow, I love the texture. xD It looks like you drew it on paper.

It really is liek drawing on papaer XD but the color quality is so much better, plus you can erase ANYTHING. It's really cool to be able to paint something and thenm say, "Oh I don't like that color." tHen you just turn the pen around and erase it XD I love it

I wish I could do that. xD I hate being unable to completely erase too-dark marks or coloured pencil. I tried using my sister's tablet for a while, but only got one decent drawing out of it. I s'pose I'm just too used to traditional - I need that resistance from lead dragged against paper to keep my lines smooth.

Butanywai~ x3 Quite nice. It really does look like you did that on paper.

I'd say neaten up your lineart before colouring, also, you're shading's a off, I like to draw a lamp on my canvas to show where the light is coming from to help me. Oh yeah, what did you use to get that texture?

well actually i just used acrylic round and then used one of the smear/blur tools but i also noticed sometign else: I can use layers with this XD

since it was to late to save the meiko pic i started a new one using the layers tool. I decided to draw my dog, beinchen and this is how it turned out ^^

I didn't put so much care in the shading as I would have normally done but this was kinda like a trial pic. I did it in about an hour and a half ^^

Ah, this is nice, what program do you use? It sounds like Corel Painter.

An hour and a half is a long time to me, the more you practice the faster you will get!

Ah, awesome! I'd price around 20k-100k, depending on the complexity. That's also just my opinion. ^^
