I use GIMP to make my graphics, and I just downloaded the newer version.  Now, whenever I paste transparent images, the black box around it stays with it instead of becoming transparent.  Before upgrading, it didn't do that; I don't remember what I did to make it stay transparent.  I know I can use the select tool on feather mode to make it come off the background, but that makes it have a faint white edge, and I want it to be clean cut. ^^;

I've tried playing with alpha channels and anything that has the word transparency. xD ...I still don't know what to do.

Sorry if this belongs in off-topic. Dx

I think it's in the correct thread. c:

Maybe save the transparent picture to your computer first? Then open the picture and copy/past from there, *censored*uming that it downloaded a transparent picture. o-o;

Ihopethiswasn'tconfusing.

Uhh. If that doesn't work, let me know.

Have you tried saving the image as a .psd?
Do that and open it, then resave it as a .png.
That's what I do with mine anyways.

I thought GIMP used .xcf files.

If it's just mine, my bad. o-o;
