Ok so, I've recently started making banners on MS Paint but now I can't figure out how to make the BACKGROUND of an image turn transparent. Help?

You can't on MS paint as far as I know. You'll have to download/buy a program like Paint Tool SAI or Photoshop if you want to make transparent backgrounds.

Is it the same with the backgrounds of copied images?

It depends on whether or not that copied image is transparent already or not. Like, If I copied a transparent background into SAI and drew something over it and saved it for opacity, it would be transparent. :>

@Alchaeon Wait, You can make white bkgs transparent in SAI?

And @Timber, There is a way you can do that. :) Select the image and then under the selection o the left handbar, there are two shapes, one selected and one not. Select the one that isn't. You'll now have a transparent bkg. That's for XP and below; for Windows 7 I haven't figured it out yet. Sorry. :P Google it?

Yes, you can. :> I do it all the time. Most of my commissions have transparent backgrounds; in fact it's my default if a background isn't requested. You just save as a .png file and click 'Each pixel have Opacity.'

Okeez :DD So basically, first copy the image you want. Open paint, with the BKG open. Paste the image you want on top in; press the magical block; and hopefully its transparent. This will only work on PURE WHITE bkgs though :P
