And price check/rate? On a scale of 1-10

Cuz eye R bee artist. :B

Im still tryin tofind a style I like and do well. Sadly, what I do well is starting to look anime. 0o No offence, but DO NOT WANT!

Please dont point out flaws: Im a perfectionist, so I am well aware of where I goofed, but I dont want to risk ruining the drawing so I leave well enough alone. :)

Coloring out of the lines is like my identity.
I know I do it, but dont care. Makes the drawings mine.

These will go oldest to newest. Newest ones being added as wegoon our merry way

Starting big=better for me. More of a challenge where I can apply myself and commit to something I want done.

Im still learning PhotoShop. Highlights and shadows make me cringe. Im an infant on those things.

Please dont steal/say I've stolen. I a.ssure you, I've spent a lot of time on these.

Any help concerning PS is loved.  :)

I can't tell by your first post if you only want "positive comments" or not. Because critique isn't negative, and that "don't point out goofs" comment sounds like you're asking for no critique. There might be goofs you made without realizing it. So I don't know how to go about commenting on your art without sounding like a goof picker. Besides, everyone makes mistakes and know they do, even non-perfectionists. I just want to help you learn how to fix your goofs.

So. Uh. Gesture sketch more, like from actual life. Get a huge newsprint pad and go draw people walking around. Try out different mediums too because you never know. (For example I never thought I'd like using charcoal but whoa totally found out I do).

Maybe try experimenting with actual paint too, because learning how to paint with paint helps with learning how to paint with a painting program. Learning how to shade in gray (pencil) helps with shading in other mediums (paint) in the long run, as well. Doing light and shadow pencil studies is really important. Studying color theory helps as well.

Don't abuse the dodge and burn tool in Photoshop. This is more of a personal nitpick, because I've seen tons of "great" artists abuse this tool as well. The piece will be more visually nice when you pick the colors you want yourself instead of letting the program drill lights and darks into it.

Another great thing about PS is the ability to download brushes. The default brushes kinda suck (can't say I've used them in like... years) so go on DA and find some nice brushes. Any brushes. I mean what kind of painting style are you trying to replicate? Water color, gouache... there are a lot of brushes.

don't be mad at me really i'm not trying to be a goof picker. D:

Constructive crit I dont mind, but not ones like 'Ohmigosh! You colored out of the lines!! D:" Thats more of what I dont like...which is why I put it there. That and messy line arts. I kick myself for those but cant really help it. ^^;

I take my pad with me everywhere, so next time we go into town or somewhere I'll definitely do some gesture sketching. I've tried it a couple times, but Im extremely ADD and keep switching subjects. XD

Uhg. Pain. Nuh uh. I've done two paintings on canvas and one on a poster board. They all turned out....*flails* What I know is from stuff I learned from the OPB painters. LOL.

I dont abuse the dodge/burn tool...I neglect it. I grew up with traditional, so the only things I really like using are the different colors, blur (Smudging with a Kleenex), highlight (Picking out with an eraser), and the gradients.

I've downloaded several brushes, but they all crash my program. I've had to reset my brushes and patterns several times...at least thats what I think causes spontaneous close downs....

Thank you Grayv.I really appreciate it...even if it just sounds like Im defending my obliviousness. XD

'Starting big=better for me. More of a challenge where I can apply myself and commit to something I want done.'

Nonononononono. Please never say that. It's good to go up in steps, there's no exception. I've been seeing your art for a pretty long time already and the one thing I always thought was that you always tackle too big a project and you seem to ignore your mistakes since you have a lot of other stuff to complete. From what I have seen, this lack of will to do smaller things have caused you to fail in being able to fully understand art in theory.

From what I see, I can say that you don't put enough thought in your composition. This seems to be your biggest downfall. Composition itself is very hard to understand as well. So I can't teach you anything (it's self learnt).

'Im still learning PhotoShop. Highlights and shadows make me cringe. Im an infant on those things.'

Learn this in pencil first before you do it in PS. When you don't understand something, it's best that you do it in the medium that you're most confident with. If you can't do it in photoshop yet, you don't understand it enough.

'I dont abuse the dodge/burn tool...I neglect it. I grew up with traditional, so the only things I really like using are the different colors, blur (Smudging with a Kleenex), highlight (Picking out with an eraser), and the gradients. '

You have to go out of your comfort zone to master new things. If you wanna smudge things up, use the smudge tool. I wouldn't advise using the smudge tool either. It's in poor taste if you don't know how to use it like a pro (I don't even know how to use it xD).

I'm not against you or anything, I just think your approach to learning is poor and you may end up misleading yourself. Please try to listen to crtis. You may think you know all your flaws but really, nobody does. I don't. Second opinions tend to be less biased as you have been looking at your piece for a long time, you tend to not be able to find all your flaws in the end. A different person will be able to judge the drawing from first glance, seeing what looks funny.

I (HATE)' YOU
