As the ti
tle of this thread states, I need critique for this art piece which I did for Lazzaro on her G&S kioka Shazzle. The pose I am aiming for is a 'noble' pose, and there is no obvious lighting for now because the background has not been drawn yet~

The only critiques I have are that the leg joints are disproportionate, and this is more of a personal preference I think, but the body seems to be too thick. I always picture Kioka to be more dainty and graceful rather than tough and sturdy. But over I think it is very well done. I really like the pose.

I think it's good. the only thing though would be like username said, the leg joints look a little off, the neck has a strange curve and the hooves are a little disproportionate. but good job c: I really like the way you did the ribbons.

The pose looks a little unstable, and thus not very noble. o: At the moment all the legs are tilted in a sort of leaned-back angle, which leaves them centered around a totally different place than where the center of gravity is. This gives the impression that he's moving backwards or about to topple over - not exactly the strong, grounded impression a nobleman/creature would give off.

I'd suggest making the angle less apparent on the hind legs and making the front legs stand straight. P: It'll make the pose, and the Kioka, look a lot stronger and more stable.

A
lso, the tail ribbon looks.. kind of in the way. It feels like it's blocking us from something that'd be more interesting to look at, and since it goes in the opposite direction from all the other ribbons, it doesn't feel natural. Sort of interrupts the flow. I'd suggest maybe moving it to curl about behind the Kioka or something - or perhaps it could still curl in front of him, but just in a less obtrusive way.

O
verall, a pretty nice start though. c:
