THIS THREAD IS CLOSED

I WILL BE OPENING A NEW TYPE OF ADOPTABLE IN THE NEAR FUTURE

MY APOLOGIES!

Come with me, don't mind the guard. This is no ordinary cave,my friends. This is our hidden entrance to our laboratories. We've taken many of the creatures you may have only heard child's bedtime stories about and tamed them here. We have studied them for almost three decades and with wonderful results. But we've run into a standstill and we need your help. Would you be willing to offer your assistance? Please, no rush in deciding. This is a big decision, and it would be a long journey and a huge responsibility.

You'll help then? Good! Please, please! Enter now...into a world you could never imagine being a part of...

---------------------------------------------------------

If you choose to do so, you can help in our studies by adopting one of the newest generations of these creatures we have been *censored* and enhancing with DNA mutations. Most of them are alien species that we have had the pleasure of encountering. Most of them are very docile, so there is no need to worry about any sort of life-threatening situation. Here, we have several eggs incubating, waiting eagerly to feel the warmth of a human companion to care for them. We've discovered that the only way these creatures thrive is among social groups, and the love and care that humans give seems to soothe these creatures so well.

Still interested? Read on, and perhaps adopt your new life-long companion and learn from them. Teach them, just as they will teach us...

this alteration according to the consumer's wishes. If wanted, the Subject can grow horns, wings, another limb, a tail or second tail,
large claws, spines, fins, etc. Whatever you wish! ( 50k per mutation.
I.E: Horns = 50k. Horns + Wings = 100k. etc  )

A DNA Transplant will transform your Subject into another existing Species of your choice. (Rare Species Are Not Affected By This Item!)

An Accessory Kit
will allow you to dress your Subject with various items of your liking.
You may give your Subject Headphones, Earrings, cuffs, a scarf,
whatever you may wish. Each item will cost 50k TU. ( Earrings come in
pairs. I will not charge you 50k per earring on each ear. You may have

it is the only item you are wanting)

A Droplet of Rainbow Essence lets
you change the color scheme of your Subject's Coat, only. You can
choose your recolors. Keep in mind this only applies to the colors, NOT
the patterns or markings on your Subject.

The Nesting Room gives your Subject a place to breed with another. Please read the Breeding notes for specific information about Breeding!

The Patterned Dust allows you to change the markings or patterns on your Subject. Does not allow the changing of the colors, JUST the patterns.

A Satchel of Crystals allows the recoloration AND change of patterns to your Subject. You may request a complete re-do of the colors and patterns.

When Purchasing Eggs, I require the TU to be sent before I post the hatched Subject.
Thank you.

::Breeding Notes::

When
a Nesting Room is purchased, you may have your Subject enter it with
another Subject to produce young. However, there are several things to
know about the process of breeding. Please read on.

Obviously
to breed your Subjects, you need two, a male and female. You may breed
your own Subjects together as long as they are compatible, or work
together with another Res User to mate your Subject with theirs.
Obviously, you must work out the deal with your partner to obtain the
eggs that are produced. I do not want this to start a fight, so you must
both agree on something together, before you consider breeding.

When
I design the babies that the Subjects have, I base them on genetics and
traits through a number generator. This includes colorations, patterns,
and even mutations ( yes, they can pass through to the young ).

When
you breed, the Subjects will produce a certain amount of eggs. Common
and Uncommon Species will always produce 3 eggs. Rare, will only
produce 1 egg per breeding, and can only produce 2 eggs per mate
. After
they have had 2 eggs with a certain mate, they must find another if you
wish to breed them again. ( This applies to breeding with another user's
 Rare Species as well! )

When
breeding with another user, one of you will choose one egg, and the
other will choose another egg. The third egg will remain in the upcoming
batch for adoption. Rare beasties who only produce one egg will either
need to be negotiated amongst the two users for custody of the egg, OR
it may be gifted to another user.
Please DO NOT attempt to sell the egg to another user for custody. It can only be gifted.

If
you are breeding a rare with another user's rare, and you wish to both
obtain an egg, you may breed once more with that same user's mate, and
the price will be halved.

Rare Species will ONLY breed with other rares. ( this may change later )
Uncommon and Common will breed amongst each other.

Rare Species Breeding Price = 300k
Common/Uncommon Breeding Price = 100k

::Announcements::

~Egg G is remaining and new eggs will not be released until it is claimed.~

Please address the latest post by yours truly, and help me bring back an old favorite for the next batch! Vote for your favorite retired Adoptable Beastie!

I will be leaving out of town tomorrow before noon Res-time. I will be bringing my laptop with me, so I will be able to work on adoptables in my spare time! I will be gone until the 7th or 8th of June, visiting family and friends and attending my best friend's graduation ceremony. Thank you for your cooperation and patience. I will be working on everyone's orders in the meantime between packing and getting ready to leave, as well as working on them while I am away.

The reserved egg is being moved to the next batch. So yes, G is available unless Clouding does still want it!

Thank You All!

Placing the egg in the aging chamber, we manipulate time and produce artificial warmth to allow the egg to incubate before your very eyes. It starts to tremble and crack, and out flops...

Congratulations! You've hatched a Grauff as your first subject species!

From the data we've collected on this species, they are incredibly docile but very territorial over their habitats and their companions and young. Their large front paws are soft with fatty deposits, but incredibly sensitive to temperature changes and textures on objects they touch. Like an earthbound gorilla, their posture is hunched over when walking, using their large front paws to support their weight, and their smaller back legs more as a balancing tool as well as their thick tails. They have an incredible sense of smell, but poor hearing. Their calls are extremely boisterous, and have been known to shake an entire room to destruction and break glass when enclosed in a house or small room when it roars or 'sings'.

Remember to fill out the rest of the adoption forms!

Congratulations! You've hatched a Walluf as your subject!

Wallufs have proven to be one of the most difficult species for our staff to tend to, because of their childish behaviors and mischievous ways. They are very loyal and excellent companions, but keeping up with their energy can often prove to be a very tiring task. They are completely flightless, but very agile, and have been known to jump great heights with their nimble, strong legs. Like an earthbound avian, their bones are hollow, making them almost weightless and able to move with astonishing speed and grace.

Congratulations! You've hatched an Impling as your first subject species!

Implings are still very mysterious to us. Their masks are just hardened pieces of their egg's shell, and they refuse to remove it from their faces. The adults' masks cannot be taken off, and we believe that the shell has fused into their forms, growing with the fur and skull of their heads. Although science cannot prove it, many of our more spiritual staff members believe this creature is blessed with magic, or holy powers. Their calls sound more like ethereal whispers, and seem to be able to speak telepathically to us. We cannot hear any form of English language, but staff have reported just knowing what these creatures are needing with a nod of their masked face.

Remember to fill out the rest of the adoption forms!
