You may have noticed that the doodle/derp art is no longer showing on some of your creatu. We are converting the Derp art over to an actual effect that will be visible all year long. If the effect art is done for a creatu and has been changed to an effect you will be able to see it easily from the Pet Species page. To do this go to the top toolbar hover over Information and click on Pet Species Page. Once you have designated which creatu you would like to see with the new effect click the drop down bar containing all of the effects for that specific creatu and select Derp Effect preview.  

After all the art has been transitioned over into the effect database, all creatu that were born on April 1st, 2015 will automatically be given the Derp Effect.  Another update will be posted notifying users that all of the new art has been completed and the specific date that you will be able to hatch the creatu of your choosing with the Derp Effect.

	I agree with Uwibami and Spaidur re: the name of the effect being offensive, and actually came to make a comment about it myself. I have to disagree with Unicorn's provided definitions, because those don't take into account the origin of the word. "Derp" came from the "herp derp" meme, which was a direct comment on someone with Down's Syndrome, whose face and likeness were then mocked/reproduced and continue to be, for the sake of a joke. That's why the usage of the word is offensive, and I really believe that something better could be used for the name (like "Doodle" or something to do with April Fool's itself, maybe). I really hope you take our comments into consideration, because in an "innocent fun" community, as Lunasparkle put it, there doesn't need to be offensive content like that, especially when it's site official.

	I wish it had never been used that way as I like the word and as you can see from the definitions Unicorn put up, the word doesn't actually mean negative things toward any specific group of people. Maybe it's like the word carrot or carrots which has been used to make fun of red heads. Carrot/carrots doesn't technically mean anything negative to red headed people. I think we need to think about how much we want political correctness to seep into area's of innocent fun.

	Uwibami does have a point... I felt the same way about the name I was just afraid that I was the only one who felt this way. I didn't speak up in fear of negative response but I do believe a better word can be used instead of "derp"...

	Is there any way to make the effect buyable as well as hatchable? If the effect was only hatchable, there would be an extremely small chance of getting it for rarer pets, for example retired CS pets, which might defeat the purpose of having artwork for those. Also, it would be nice to be able to get it for pets you own already, as some people may have named or bought their pets anticipating that they would be able to get the effect for them.
