All around the world, innocent whales are being slaughtered for scientific research, for food, and for other ghastly reasons. Take for example, the North Pacific Right Whale:

It is currently one of the most endangered species of whale, alongside others such as the Sperm Whale and Blue Whale. The whales never did anyone any harm, so why do we harm them?
