After a brief SB discussion on Rescreatu needing an actual updated wiki, I decided to make a thread to organize the whole thing. I think that a wiki would benefit the site and userbase a whole lot, and we could even have some sort of on-site link to it even if it's unofficial. It would also probably draw in more players as well, which would be great since before the name clearing there were rarely more than 30 people on at a time. Obviously it needs to be an organized endeavour and we can't have people accidentally creating multiple pages for the same thing, we need moderation to prevent inappropriate content, etc, but I think if enough people are interested in working on getting a wiki for the site put together, we could definitely do it!
We would need.... a lot of pages. So many. Like a page for each item and creatu and NPC and event and asdfghgr it's a lot of work. So to keep things easier, I'll put everyone into categories. Anyone who wants to help out can choose the categories they would like to be a part of writing entries for. We may want to start with typing up entries on google documents before putting them up on an actual wiki page as well, but first let's see if we can get enough people to actually get this done. I'll worry about getting people who can be trusted to moderate the wiki when we have a majority of the entries written up. Here's some possible pages/categories we could consider:
Site Rules:
I feel like the rules of the website should be somewhere on the wiki. Subsections for rules specific to one area of the site like the SB would be a good idea.
Staff:
Up-to-date list of the staff on Rescreatu and their positions, with sub-sections for each department.
Social:
Places on the website where users can uhhh socialize and do business??

There are a ton of items on this website, but if we split them into sub-categories, it will be easier to keep track of what needs to be written. Each item should in theory have its own page, with pages linking to those pages, to keep things easy to find. An example would be a page that lists every known alert item but also links to each alert item's page.

Alert Items (items that give a selected user a unique alert message when used)
Toys (with a sub-section for just squishies)
Clothing
Avatar Items (those that give a forum avatar when used or in inventory)
Books
Weapons
Event Items (things like the vaspi string lights, seeds, stardust piles, etc.)

Miscellaneous (items that don't have a regular use, like cooking supplies)

There aren't as many creatu and effects as there are items, but these pages might take up more time. It would be cool if we could have people dig through books like the two on where wyrae came from to add something extra to the pages aside from copy/pasting the creatu deion.
