Above the hill, nestled in the leafy boughs of the nearby birches, two pairs of eyes intently observed the small party gathering in the distance. One pair belonged to a woman of Celtic ancestry, sporting deep red hair and mischievous green eyes, while the other belonged to a Tesuri. The two shared a glance before the woman slowly clambered down the trunk, landing with a soft thud on the fertile ground. The Tesuri, meanwhile, spread her wings and flitted down, barely disturbing the grass beneath her.
"Show off", the woman muttered at the smirking Tesuri. Gingerly she opened the Atquati themed knapsack she had hoisted over her shoulders and sighed with relief. "They're still asleep", she whispered to the Tesuri, who was obviously as relieved as the woman.
The pair made their way towards the group, their features becoming more clear in the fading light than they were in the shadows of the forest. The woman was short of stature, with freckles adorning her face and shoulders, and she donned a navy blue hoodie, baggy dark jeans, and black Sperry Topsiders. Around her neck hung a leather necklace with a piece of dark blue sea glass sandwiched between two pearls and her ears were pierced thrice with earrings made from stingray barbs. Her left ear was also pierced in the cartilage by a small pearl stud, as was her tongue. The Tesuri was typical, save for her leather necklace that matched her owner's in a lighter hue.
As the pair approached, the woman smiled and waved. "Hello there!" She spoke quietly, as if she were afraid of waking whatever was in the knapsack. "You seem lost. Where ya headed?"
