Our home was dying, plants across the planet had begun to mysteriously die of an unknown disease. People around the world united in a attempt to save themselves from extinction. They created a miracle cure of sorts to heal the dying plant life and it was spread all across the planet. It rejuvenated the land and resurrected plant life and for a while, everything was perfect. However, there were some unforeseen side effects. The serum did its job too well. Plants began to grow exponentially and soon cities were overtaken by jungles.

While everyone struggled to stop this sudden growth or just survive its sudden take over, none of them saw the end coming. When things appeared to finally calm down, strange pod like growths had appeared on the plants. Sadly it was too late before anyone noticed their existence. On the night of a full moon, the pods bloomed. The flowers were inky black and edged in bright gold. They were truly beautiful, but they would destroy everything. The pollen-like cloud the flowers released when they bloomed was poison to everything, but the plants they were fused to. It caused a severe allergic-like reaction to any who were exposed to it, and died within days after exposure. They were the lucky ones.

Those who became infected experienced excruciating pain and an unbearable burning sensation throughout their bodies. Then something truly horrid happened. Instead of dying, which many would have chosen if they had known their fate, they began to mutate. This sudden transformation destroyed their minds and turned them into vicious monsters and began to rampage. They sought out anything not Infected and destroyed it, whether they were loved ones or not.

Those who were unaffected fled to a once abandoned project during the time to save the plants. Several of the more industrial countries had begun construction of these "Sky Cities". They were left abandoned out in the ocean where they were being created, but when the plants sudden growth spurt happened, construction began again.

Strangely enough, the ocean and coast line was safe. The flowers are at least a mile inland and sea life was completely unaffected. It seemed the salty water and wind was like a poison to them. Extraordinarily enough, people who have been around or on the ocean for a good majority of their life, were immune. A vaccine was formed from the blood of several fishermen who were descended from a long line of fishermen or people who spent most of their lives at sea. While not a cure, it did prevent anyone who was never exposed and may be susceptible to the flower, from becoming ill and dying, or mutate into a monster.

There are four separate classes, each with several different rankings that rate the level of cognitive ability and the potential danger they may pose. A letter represents the class and a number for the rank, and a secondary number that determines risk factor. For example, H would represent Human. H4 would be a human that's been transformed, but retains no memories and is essentially a mindless monster. H45 would represent an H4 with a low risk, and a H41 represents an H4 with a very high risk. Any Class that has a 0 is very unique. This is used for very rare cases of Infected that have the ability to change between their Infected form and original self, though only physically, mentality is the same in either form. 0 cases are automatically bumped up to 1 for risk, due to the unpredictability these Infected pose.

Their forms can range from very subtle changes, like eyes or coloration, to completely unrecognizable monstrous forms. As for sizes, the serum did cause some to grow into massive beasts and some have retained the size they were before infection. (however I would like to keep things from getting too big, so nothing bigger than big carnivore dino's like T-rex or spinosaurus and no Human Class smaller than a toddler)(Oh and excluding the Human Class, it is required that your character does have at least 1 distinct trait of their original form.) Rare for the young, ill, or old to have survived the infection. It seems for some specimens, their lifespan has been lengthened, though this varies greatly. None of the classes can swim in salt water and any that can fly, cannot survive long over open sea.

Human: Humans who were infected.

Beast: Any type of land creature that was infected, mammals, reptiles, and birds. 

Aquatic: Creatures that live in fresh water can be effected, fish, amphibians. Despite being aquatic, the ocean is just as toxic to the Aquatic class as it is to the Human and Beast Classes.

Flora: Plants that did not receive the Serum were also capable of being infected and underwent a similar transformation as the other classes. There are very few Plant Class due to how widespread the Serum was distributed. Because of how similar they are to the flower, they cannot go near the ocean for breathing in the air could be deadly if exposed for too long.

This mentions "memories" a lot, because ya know, humans. For Beast, Aquatic, or Plant Class, just ignore that(unless you want something with a revenge story against humanity or whatever). Essentially the higher the number(except 0) the smarter your character can be. Remember that Risk Factor (second(or third in case of 0) number) determines whether or not you are dangerous or have murderous tendencies.

0: Given to Infected with the ability to transform between their Infected form and their original self. Mental state is same in either form. 0 is placed before the Rank number, so 0 cases have a total of three numbers in their Classification. Most 0 cases seem to have a natural volatile nature.

1: Heightened cognitive ability. Most seem to posses an almost "psychic" trait to them. Capable of higher functions like speech, either through voice or the mind. If Human Class, they can recall all their memories as a human.

2: Has the cognitive ability of the average adult human, and most are capable of speech. Their memories may contain several gaps, but is fairly stable.

3: Has the mind of an angsty teen(jk, more primal but some are able to talk, though not very well) with large memory gaps.

4: Very primitive mindset, few are capable of almost childlike speech and if they have memories, they're very scattered.

5: No memories, incapable of speech and essentially runs on instinct.

For those who want to become a monster, here's what you need to do and what to expect from this rp. First and foremost, all Monster characters will eventually be killed by the normal members of the rp, so keep that in mind when creating your Monster. You will be given a random monster, maybe a sketch if I'm up for it, a Classification, and Ability by me. The rp members will be subject to random attacks by Monster players (or me, mwahahahaha) and they must defeat it before continuing the normal story line, unless they decide to run away. In the case of a run away, this monster will return later on, even if it needs to be played by another member. These attacks will be random, but unless this becomes really popular, only expect it once a week or every other week. I will recruit a Monster when my fellow rp members are hopefully offline, to make the attack that much more of a surprise.

Depending on how well you do, will determine the amount of TU you receive, but there will be a 1mil guarantee for all Monsters for Hire.

Died from Infection: 50% of the global population

Lost to the Infection: 40% of the original population

Those not effected or immune: 9 out of 10 were killed by those Infected

Current human population: Around 90 million and declining

Every character is allowed one ability/power.

If you are bad guy, don't get mad that your character was killed off. Will try to make your death as awesome as possible.

Fight scenes can be one liners.

If you are in a group during a fight, do not do everything yourself, give others a chance to fight.

You will get 1 warning if you attempt to use an OP or God-like character, then be kicked from the rp if you continue.

Home: Small nest in a grove of trees close to sky city

Appearance: Rather small, about 4'5" standing at full height on hind legs. She tends to walk on all fours, bringing her down to around 3'7". Her eyes resemble dilated cat pupils, and they have green irises. With her mutation, she has grown large fangs and two bony knobs resembling horns on her head. Her skin, though it used to be a dark tan, turned a greyish green and developed a scaly, almost stone-like  texture. Her hands and feet have turned into reptilian talons with hooked claws. She has a prehensile tail. Moss, vines, and other plants cover her, but she doesn't seem to mind. (I'm planning on making a drawing later)

History: Fawr used to help her father study the flowers, and she was fascinated by them. She found everything about them to be amazingly interesting. However, when the pods bloomed, her father was killed while she instead mutated. She remembered few things. Her name and family were forgotten, as well as most of her life. Her love and fascination for flowers, however, remains.

Ability: The plants that have grown on her seem to have become a part of her, making her into a living ecosystem, as well as simultaneously being every plant growing on her. They allow her to photosynthesize, and so she doesn't need to eat.

Other: Though she always had found talking difficult, with her sparse memories and huge fangs, she can only speak in one-syllable words and even then it's hugely difficult. Often, she can be found staring at a particular plant or flower for hours at a time. She has a childlike curiosity and often visits the city, to the fear of some.
