Don't mind me I just love the book :D
Over a century has passed since Edward Prendick left Dr. Moreau's island of the Beast People. His memoirs of the time, written in 1896, have gone largely unnoticed by the scientific community. Scorned and dismissed as a "loon," the papers were left in a remote trunk, locked up and hidden from the world. In 2010, a group of storage hunters uncovered the chest and, thinking the writings to be a forgotten scientific journal, took their find to an elite team of field experts. Intrigued, they organized an expedition to locate the island. Three years later, the preparations are made and the journey begins.
In the meantime, the Beast People themselves have evolved to more closely resemble Moreau's idea of perfection, though while the creatures are very near human in form, their minds and a few characteristics are still mostly beastial. They communicate using spoken language at times, but prefer to stick to nonverbal signs and signals. They are peaceful, however, and live by the Sayer of the Law's edicts.
Essentially, you may be a scientist or a Beast (or both!). Human spots are limited (seven, not including mine), but there may be as many Beasts as wanted.
Violence and romance are encouraged, but remember to keep it light and PG-13.
We're not killing off anyone unless they decide not to go on. (The above rule must still be followed!)
There is no need to have read the book or to have seen the movie(s), though it is highly encouraged you do so simply because it's so good.
No godmodding, powerplaying, or Mary/Gary Sues.
Beast people are to be very human in appearance, with light animal characteristics - horns, claws, heavy webbing, tails, gills, etc
Wings are prohibited, however.

Desc: Aiki is tall and of average build, with olive skin and gray-brown eyes. She has few bestial features, the most notable being her long, slender golden tail and sharp, black claws. Her hair is the same shade of yellow as her tail and is cut short, being nearly bald on her left side so that it won't get in the way when she hunts with her spear.
Personality: Aiki is very wary of anything outside of her normal interaction, and is comforted by routine and schedule. However, she does enjoy a good prank now and then, and isn't above sneaking off from her duties to relax at the beach. When she is in her hunting mode, she's a very diligent worker and won't return home until her prey is slung over her shoulder.

Desc: Tobias is very tall and very thin. His short dark hair, highlighted blonde, is usually spiked. One ear is pierced once with a small hoop that matches his light silver eyes. His choice of clothing is not what one would expect of a renowned biologist; dark, muted colors, heavy black boots, tank tops, thick leather wristbands, and eyeliner - essentially he's a punk with a degree. Also a goatee.
Personality: Tobias is quick-witted and calculating, anticipating every possible outcome before he actually does something. While this may leave him undecided on his next course of action, he relies on fast decision making so as to never seen stumped in front of his comrades. He is not a friendly person in the least, and usually only does things for other if he stands to gain something from it. This does not mean that he can't care for someone or something without reward - it's just incredibly rare for him to do so.
Other: He has a hobby of making stuffed animals - granted they'te grotesque and would possibly give children nightmares, but still. He tries.

Desc: Skorj is a tall, buff man. His eyes are brown with slender pupils. He is about 6 foot tall, with no hair. at first glance, he seems like a normal person, until people get close. his tongue is forked. His skin is dark and has very faint diamond patterns.He hunts using a bow dipped in his venom, while he guards with a club he made from wood. He has a long tail tipped with rattles.
Personality: Skorj is usually grumpy. Skorj's main two problems is the fact that he is cold-blooded and he cant see in color. He see's in heat and movement. Skorj cannot function in weather below 75 degrees. His temper usually gets the better of him when he senses enemies, leading him to attack first, ask questions later. When he is agitated, his tail will rattle. he does care about other Beasts, as he considers them the family he never had. He is sluggish in the morning, but in the afternoon and night he is fast witted and will think things through. Animal: Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake.

Alex is a meek-looking fellow with wide brown eyes and pale olive skin. His hair falls around his face in soft blonde curls and he often comes off as a mousy individual, his short stature increasing this. He tends to end up wearing clothing a size or more too big for him, but he claims those are the only clothes he can feel comfortable in, even if they do fall off of his shoulders.
Personality:
Alex is...well, he's easily startled by loud noises if he isn't distracted by trying to help someone who needs him. He has trained himself to focus solely on his patients, but once he is free of hi medical mindset he's jumpier than a rabbit during the hunt. He often ends up standing in a manner that makes him seem like he's trying to curl in on himself, attempting to escape the outside world and retreat into his own safe little realm.
Other: He is bisexual but is kind of really easily frightened so be gentle with him please.

Kaitir is tall and lean, built for speed and agility and he uses his long, black and white tail for extra balance. He has deep, dark brown eyes and pale markings around them, suck as circles around his eyes and lines down the sides of his nose. His hair is around shoulder-length and fluffy, soft like fur and colored a soft grey with black tips. Oh also he has cute little claws and fangs and soft fuzzy ears.
Personality:
Quiet, inquisitive. He waits and watches, analyzing his opponents to be sure that he strikes in the proper place.

Desc: Elijah is an intimidatingly large man, a giant who's height matches his bulk. His body is made up of massive muscles, but even so he still carries a small bit of pooch around his gut from moments of endulgence. His thick hide-like skin is a light greyish color and his small almond-shaped eyes seem to have no pupils because his irises are so dark in color. Below his eyes is a pudgy nose, a remnant of what was once a powerful trunk. His hair is jet black, reaching to the small of his back and usually kept in a braid. Other beastial traits that Elijah has are his slightly larger than normal ears, a short tail with a tuft of black hair at the end, and two abnormally long back molars that protrude out slightly like very small tusks. As for attire, Elijah prefers simple and comfortable, given that his skin can more than compensate for the lack of armor. He is usally found wearing a simple sleeveless tunic and baggy pants.
Personality: Even though Elijah is a strong and intimidating warrior who can let out a bellow that could frighten even the largest of enemies, he is actually very kind and gentle. He is reliable to a "T"and he treats every beast, even predators, like family. He would lay his life to protect his home and people which makes him an even more fierce fighter. When freed from his gaurd duties, Elijah can most likely be found with his nose in a book. He adores knowledge almost as much as he enjoys a hefty meal.
