Serenity nodded her head, staring at the Arceon with so much more than religion locked inside. "You're so right."

End Part 1, Beginnings

Part 2, A Reading

(A day has passed!) Pick ONE skill per pokemon to be added to, since now you have more than three, and each pokemon isn't likely getting as much individual attention. Glance back at the chart, because I don't feel like reposting all the stats. I think I'm going to make a post that I can keep editing and adding to.
Hope you're liking what I'm doing with this so far! In case you're wondering, the name Arceon is an original word that I created for a fanfic of mine. The word derives from Arceus and Codon.
Anyway, there is much left to come!))

"Come on Gabriel," Serenity called from up ahead. "Hurry up!" She wasn't one to dally, or even walk slow, and on that beautiful sunny day in the calm after the storm, you had already walked miles north to Lumiose.
On your way south, it hadn't felt nearly as long, mostly due to the adrenaline and near panic deriving from Delilah and her injured state. You had never run so fast to get her to that pokemon center. But the path to Lumiose seemed so long.
She finally stopped walking, Natty lighting on her shoulder, turning and facing you. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot, giving you a familiar look. "You're slow," she stated bluntly. She had returned Diamond for the first time since she had adopted her, and she looked almost naked without the dratini draped around her shoulders.
Standing beside you, Serenity was several inches shorter, with wavy blonde hair and big, green eyes. She could be quite the eyecatcher, if she wasn't constantly dressed in her traveling clothes; muddy boots and torn jeans and a T-shirt... Even then she was still attractive. Or so she was told.
You finally caught up to her, and she turned tail, marching towards Lumiose once again. "Good thing those skyscrapers are so tall, that way you have a landmark to walk to, in case I end up leaving you in the dust," she said sarcastically.
Just 6 more miles.

Bandit the Sandile: Attack

Willow the Vulpix: Scouting))

Gabriel let out a heavy sigh as he trudged after Serenity, pouting a little bit as her words. "I /did/ grow up in Lumiose, Serenity,' he argued weakly. "I know how to get there, and I had to walk this way to get to Santalune in the first place." He hefted his backpack onto his back properly, combing a hand through his hair. "Speaking of Lumiose, mind if we stop for a few minutes so I can talk to my parents? I feel like I should warn them about everything that's going on." He glanced towards his filled Pokeballs with a small smile. "And maybe introduce them to my pokemon, and you of course." He rubbed the back of his neck again. "It could also be a good area to work on training up more, since the city has many Pokemon Centers around it. We'd have more areas to train our Pokemon without too much worry."

He glanced to the sides, cautious for a good couple minutes. "We could also make sure we're stocked up on everything we need since there are tons of shops we can go to," he added, thinking with a tilt of his head. "I think we can get just about anything, even evolutionary stones should we need them...but those are /really/ expensive."

He glanced up again and grimaced. It was still so far to get back to Lumiose. It had felt like such a short amount of time that he'd been walking before he found Delilah in the flowers. Maybe it had been the adrenaline rush it had taken to actually let him run all that way without collapsing.

Either way, Serenity was /insanely/ chipper after all of this walking and it was, quite frankly, utterly baffling.

"Serenity where does all that energy come from?"

"I don't know, I just feel like being happy." She shrugged. "I was so depressed, after failing my quest to help those trainers escape from the undead..." She slowed, until she was walking beside you at a normal pace again. "I just feel like I'm not helping anyone by being depressed."
Soon, you reached the Lumiose City gates, and you were not at all surprised to find it heavily guarded. They eyed you and Serenity heavily before allowing you to pass, and you were thankful that you made it when you did. There was no way they would have let you in at dark.
"Well, it seems as if the city has heard the news," Serenity observed, as you made your way through the tunnel and into the city. The tunnel was lined with guards and police.
You decide to go and see your parents.

((This part I will give you creative freedom to control your journey there (so you can let me know where their house is in the city,) your parents' reactions, and Serenity's greetings and politeness. If they ask her a direct question, however, that I have to answer))

Gabriel shook his head slightly. "We're on the way to helping plenty of people," he responded gently, reaching out to gently squeeze her shoulder before looking up at the city he called home. Noticing that it was more...guarded than usual he let out a soft sigh, nodding in agreement with Serenity's words. "It...would seem that way," he responded softly before he gently tapped her arm to get her to follow him towards the Pokemon Lab, stopping a building before to head into an apartment building. They went up almost to the top and stepped out, ending up in a hallway that had three large apartment complexes, one in the center and one to either side.

Gabriel stepped up to the center one and knocked on the door, waiting a few moments before the door was flung open and a woman with long, wavy brown hair and bright blue eyes flung open the door to pull Gabriel into her arms. The boy laughed sheepishly and returned the gesture.

"I haven't been gone that long, Mom," he said softly before he stepped aside, gesturing to Serenity, who offered a broad smile and a wave. "Mom, this is Serenity. Serenity, this is my mother, Theresa Marquis," he introduced, stepping aside to let his mother have a look at Serenity.

"She a Pokemon ranger, mom," he said as the woman began to usher the both of them inside. Gabriel took a seat on the couch, Serenity sitting next to him as he prepared to explain their experiences and what all was going on. By the end of the tale, Gabriel's mother looked almost horrified.

"This is terrible," she said softly, shaking her head before she inhaled and exhaled softly. "But thank you for coming to tell us that, honey. Now, what about your new Pokemon that you were telling me about?"

Gabriel smiled sheepishly and moved to release his entire team for his mother to see, the woman clapping excitedly. "Oh, look at them all! They're all so precious," she murmured, leaning down to pick up Fang, who had excited run over to her.

"Mom, meet Fang the Poochyena, you already know Cynder, Jacen the Ralts, Willow the Vulpix, Bandit the Sandile, and Delilah the Skitty," Gabriel said, pointing to them each in turn.

Gabriel's mother nodded, and after several moments of fawning over her son's pokemon, turned to look up at Serenity. "So, Serenity, do you enjoy being a Ranger? It seems like it can be a fairly difficult job. Oh, and do you want anything to eat or drink? I'm sure you must be hungry after traveling all the way here from Santalune on foot!"

((Is this okay? ;v;))

((It's perfect ^^))

"Yeah," she said, crossing her legs and placing her hands on her knee. "I mean, I was never very fond of trainers until I met Gabriel... he seems different than most I've met." She looked at you, then back at your mother. "Anyway, I just feel like nature needs help too, and even wild pokemon deserve to be loved... So I wanted to be a ranger and protect the things and pokemon that I love."
Natty landed on her shoulder. "Ba!" she whistled in confirmation.
"What is it that you do, Mrs. Marquis?" she asked, uncrossing her legs and tilting her head.

Gabriel's mother smiled, seeming pleased with her answer. "I'm a volunteer at the Pokemon Center in this part of Lumiose, actually," she responded, smiling sheepishly. "I don't get paid but it's nice to be helpful. My husband, Gabriel's father, is an electrical technician and he's assigned to the Tower in the center of the city, making sure it's always up and running." She shifted a bit before she moved to stand up, clapping her hands together. "How about some dinner? I'm sure you two must be absolutely starving after coming all this way!" She turned to start towards the kitchen, grabbing hr apron on the way. "I used to cook in a four-star cafe here in Lumiose, but I stopped once my husband took on the Tower technician position so I could stay here and watch over Gabriel."

Gabriel himself gave his mother a smile, seeming a lot more relaxed than usual since he was home. "Her food is amazing," he told Serenity, blushing lightly from her previous comment about him being different from other trainers in a positive way. "She'll make some for our Pokemon, too, and we have a spare room that nobody uses since it's a bit late to do much else today."

"That sounds awesome, and... safe," Serenity agreed, stretching her arms up over her head. "I'm gonna go check out the room, if that's okay?" she said, wandering to the back room. She was exhausted mentally and physically, and sleeping in a real non-center bed was better than anything she could imagine. Natty flapped behind her, following her to the extra bedroom.
That night was quiet, with your dad coming home just before dinner. Fang seemed to take a liking to your mother, following her as she cooked, and snipping up scraps from the floor. Serenity came out of the back before dinner too, her eyes red, but you didn't know why.

Gabriel had been chatting happily with his mother and father when Serenity had come back, turning back to greet her with a smile when he noticed her eyes were red. He tilted his head slightly, his ex
pression becoming one of concern. "Serenity, are you okay?" he asked gently as his mother turned around to see what the matter was.

His mother set down what she'd been holding to walk over, placing a hand on Serenity's shoulder to give it a gentle rub. "Is something wrong, dear?" she asked quietly, steering her away with a gentle nudge. "It's alright if you'd rather not say, but I want you to feel welcome here." She offered her a gentle, motherly smile as Fang trotted up to sit at their feet, tail wagging and tongue lolling out.

"It's fine," she said, sniffling once. "I think I'm just really tired." She looked away, only a partial truth there, but not willing to share more. Your mother, though troubled, dropped the subject.

((Describe here dinner, after dinner, all the way up until bed. Since there was no pokemon battling today, your pokemon won't be growing stat-wise. The next day picks up with you guys packing up to leave.))

Gabriel's mother gave a slight nod, gently rubbing Serenity's back before she moved to start dishing out dinner, which was baked chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and macaroni and cheese.

Dinner itself passed amiably enough, the Pokemon all getting food of their own while Gabriel, Serenity, and Gabriel's parents talked and chatted.

After dinner, Gabriel was helping his father wash dishes while his mother decided to dote on Gabriel and Serenity's pokemon, petting them and talking to them and Serenity both all the way up until it was finally time for the both of them to go to bed. Gabriel bid his parents goodnight with a kiss to the cheek for both, then gave Serenity a smile and wished her a good night as well.

For Gabriel, nothing out of the ordinary happened through the night and he lay rather happily nestled up in his bed, his Pokemon around him. It was something he had missed quite a lot already, just laying in his bed. It was familiar and it was safe.

((And since Serenity always wakes up before Gabriel uvu))

"Get up Gabriel," whined Serenity, throwing a pillow at your head early that next morning. "It's already 10, we need to get going!"
You said tearful goodbyes to your now even more worried parents before setting off for Courmarine City. You had elected for the straightforward route, not wanting to waste any time. Serenity didn't mind taking the boat if you didn't.
So you left your house and headed for route 13. Before you leave, you could stop by any number of stores, including the hair salon, the pokeball shop, the rare stones store, the clothing mall, and more.
Serenity was leaning towards the hair salon and clothing mall.

Gabriel let out a low groan and batted the pillow away, the next half an hour or so passed quickly and the boy looking over at  Serenity once they began to wander around the city. "Oh, uh, yeah, we can go there," he told her with a smile. "Which place would you rather go first? Hairstyles can affect what clothes you wanna wear, but not always." He stuffed his hands into his pockets, looking around. "And we can either ride Skiddo to get closer or we can take a taxi to get straight there, unless you'd rather walk. Lumiose is pretty big, though, and it's really easy to get lost here if you aren't familiar with the city."

Serenity smiled. "I think I'd rather... take a walk. I've never been to Lumiose before, and I'm sure you know the way," she said, winking before turning and walking a few steps ahead of you.
The hair salon was gorgeous, sporting ten different mirrors and ten different stylists, all busy at work. Serenity was lucky that she was able to schedule a walk in appointment, and she was squeezed right in.
Two hours and 15000 pokedollars later, she had her new hair. It was shorter, still curly, and blonde with pink highlights. "I LOVE it!" she squealed, looking at it from every angle in the mirror! "Thank you, sir!" she called as you left.
The mall was nice too, and Serenity was in heaven. "Come on, pick something out!" she prodded you. "I'll buy it! Come on, anything! It's a mall, they literally have everything."
And she was right, not only did they have clothes, but they had pokeballs, evolution stones, mega stones... everything.

((request something and I'll say if you can have it!))

((Uhhh, hmm, fire stone for Willow and a moon stone for Delilah? And I'm still not sure whether I'd prefer Jacen to be a Gardevoir or a Gallade, but my Jacen is a Gardevoir I believe xD

They can still choose whether or not to evolve of course and even if they choose not to they could be useful in the future uvu;))
