Arashi, too, allowed himself to relax when Jake conceded the point and settled down. He sighed softly, giving the other injured male a smile, watching as his Skitty and the other Pokemon were cuddled by his friend. It was quite endearing, actually, particularly when Sky decided that it would be best to give Jake a lick on the cheek. Arashi looked over when Gabriel spoke to them, and glanced at what his other friend had managed to achieve, trying to gauge it. "That looks alright from where I'm sitting." He offered, "What do you think, Jake?"

Making a move to stand, but seeing Gabriel's face, he leaned to see better, then nodded his approval. "Yes, that's perfect, Gabriel," he said, grinning through the pain that wracked his body, and the shiver that ran up his spine. The sun was almost fully down, and Jake gestured to the stone bowl. "Gabriel, will you fill this with dry moss and gather firewood? I think I can get Ember to light a fire in the bowl at the entrance of the shelter, to keep pokemon away and for warmth."

((Yeah sorry I was waiting on my new laptop and then I've been out and busy lol))

Gabriel relaxed a great deal and nodded, then moved to lightly rub the back of his neck. "Um, I can try to help you two to the cave if you're okay with that," he said softly, looking between Jake and Arashi. "It would probably be a whole lot easier for you if I did, after all."

((Excuse this short post please))

Arashi paused, blinking as he considered the offer. On the one hand, his pride was whispering to him that he should attempt to cross the distance on his own - he shouldn't show signs of weakness. On the other hand, this was his friend, Gabriel, who had already proven that he was trustworthy - and he wasn't sure how far he could stagger alone with his injury. It would not benefit his pride at all if he were to fall down midway due to refusing aid, and his friend would likely be put out at having his help refused. Besides, it was nice that Gabriel had offered to help. Slowly, he nodded, having come to a decision. "That would be most appreciated, Gabriel - my thanks."

Grimacing, Jake shook his head at the offer of help, instead pulling himself up and stumbling into the cave entrance, calling his pokemon in after him and collapsing on a heap in the floor. Spark immediately curled up next to his arm, and Ember and Shade curled up together on his other side. He watched as Gabriel, supporting Arashi, walked in, and the two others settled with their pokemon on the floor. Ember lit the bowl of moss placed at the entrance, the smoke and light keeping nocturnal pokemon away and the light and warmth helping them greatly. Knowing that Gabriel was always cold, he handed him Ember after she returned to him, knowing that between the fire, Shade, and Spark, he should be plenty warm.

Gabriel nodded and moved to carefully help Arashi into the cave, offering him a smile. Once that task was done he moved so he could gently reach out to take hold of the sleeping Teddiursa, nestling into a spot he deemed decently comfortable and allowing his pokemon to nestle up to him. He had to admit that he was rather glad he had this many now, seeing as they would certainly help him stay warm. He sighed softly, gently petting the young Teddiursa's head a bit before he simply held it close, cradling it carefully.

((Sorry x.x I get busy and forget about this ;n;))

Ember jumped into Gabriel's lap, nuzzling closer to the teddiursa, and sighed contentedly. Jake fell asleep.

(Sorry for the short post)

Arashi appreciated the smile Gabriel offered, returning it with a slightly strained half-smile of his own, which rested crooked across his features for a moment, before he carefully sat himself down. He settled close to where Gabriel was, also aware of the other's difficulty with temperature, and gave Jake a nod of acknowledgement as he passed Ember over to the chilly teen. Arashi's Pokemon lay close by, at ease despite the stress they'd encountered earlier, and it seemed as though all was at peace. However, elsewhere in the forest, the rains had not been as heavy as in others. This would not have been relevant in other forests, perhaps, but it meant that there were places in which the moisture had already dried. Not many, and perhaps not dried perfectly, but enough. A particular glade somewhere to the West of the little group's position was one of these dry spots, and it had been discovered as such by an individual best known to the local Pokemon as the Giggling One. This impatient conniver was thoroughly displeased by the impudence of the weather - the nerve, showering all with water! For now, the irritation could be balmed with little lights here and there, but the wetness could not last forever.

Gabriel smiled at the pokemon in his arms before he moved to relax, then looked over at Gabriel. "Should we have someone take watch or should we all rest tonight?" he asked gently, lifting his hand to gently begin stroking his Poochyena for the time being, since she was the only one awake still. Cynder had settled on his shoulder, nestling up to his neck, and Bolt was curled up at his hips, both happily snoozing away. "If we are taking watch I can go ahead and take the first one," he said, looking over at Arashi with a smile. He was actually relatively comfortable, warmed by the pokemon around him. He wasn't really injured, after all. Most he'd have is a bruise on his back and where he'd been hit by the Ursaring.

Jake woke later, sitting up and gazing out of the lean to entrance at the stars above them. Shade nuzzled into him deeper, and Jake set an arm over Spark, drawing his Elekid in closer for warmth. The moon's light was cold and frosty, it's silvery glow illuminating his sleeping companions. A small smile broke across Jake's face as he watched the others breathe in and out, their backs and bodies rising and falling with every breath. Arching his back slightly, he winced as his wound stung, but relaxed when the scab didn't crack, standing up and making his way out of the shelter. Spark woke and followed him out.

Turning back towards the boulder, he placed a hand on the cool stone, finding a grip and pulling himself up. In this manner did he make it to the top and sat, watching the stars.

Arashi, looking across at his friends, wanted to volunteer himself to watch - even if only to show willing - but even then his eyelids felt weighty. "A watch would be logical." He agreed, feeling a little embarrassed by the knowledge that he was unlikely to manage first watch without sleeping. Well, he supposed, it would be less injurious to his pride to admit this than to try and fail. "I'm afraid I won't be much use until I've had some shut-eye," He admitted wryly, "I'd be happy to take a turn, but I think I would drift off if I attempted to take first watch." He was glad that Gabe didn't seem to be too hurt, a state of things that - combined with the tranquil nature of the scene - seemed to lull his senses. He would have looked around to observe the natural beauty of their surroundings, but alas - he felt to fatigued to pay them due attention.

When Jake awoke later, gazing at the stars, the lights far up in the sky were not the only ones to be seen. Smaller, yellower lights danced in a swarm of fireflies not far from where the group rested. Ordinary insects, tiny and harmless, and perhaps a little mesmerising. There were other, nocturnal, eyes observing the show, but nothing was coming forward thus far. There wasn't as much tension in the air as there had been following the drying of the rain - night, it seemed, was kind.
