Normal User Posts: 448	[ Halloween Art Contest ] Rescreatu is also excited to announce our first Halloween Art Contest! Our talented artists have provided a truly awesome piece of line art for you to work your artistic magic on! But this isn't just a coloring contest. We encourage you to be as creative and adventurous with your entry as possible! Feel free to add more than just color to your entry, as we will be judging on originality and creativity as well as quality and use of color. Ends: November 1st at 11:59 pm Line Art by xeeroh Please do not use this image. The OFFICIAL LINE ART can be found below. [ Contest Rules ] 1] All entries MUST use the provided line art. However, you may color, edit, redraw, paint over and otherwise edit the lines as you see fit, so long as you start with the original image provided. 2] The Rescreatu logo must remain visible and intact in all entries. 3] Participants may only submit one entry. Should other entries be submitted, only the FIRST entry will be counted. 4] Players are to submit their entry to contests@rescreatu.com during the month of October with Art Contest as the subject. The Following information MUST also be included in your email: - Username - Age - Media used 5] Images submitted must be no larger than 800x800 pixels. Rules may be added or changed as seen fit by Rescreatu staff. [ Judging Criteria ] Your entry will be judged based on the following criteria. - Originality of Media - Quality - Color Usage - Creativity [ Prizes ] ALL participants will receive a hidden forum avatar! Honorable mentions and a winner from each of the following categories will receive unique trophies: - Best Digital Media - Best Traditional Media - Best Under 13 - Best Overall *The Best Overall winner will also recieve 10 million tu!*

Staff will respond to your questions as quickly as possible and they will be posted here for everyone's reference. :) Q: Are we suppose to use the exact poses or keep the same creatu? A: It is important that all entries be based off the provided line art so that everyone has the same 'starting point'. Entries must clearly be from the lines, but some clever editing could be used to make different poses/compositions. Q: Does it have to be Halloween themed? A: Entries do not have to be Halloween themed. Q: Must the lineart by visible in the coloured piece? A: Source line art does not have to be visible in the final piece. Rescreatu's Logo must be visible in the final piece. Q: May we add lineart and pictures of our own? A: The source line art may be edited and added to. Q: Can we resize the final image? A: Images submitted must be no larger than 800x800 pixels. The source image is quite large. You are in fact required to resize it, as stated in the rules. Q: Can we add extra text? A: Yes, you may. Q: Is tle="" target="">this logo alright, or do we have to use the one in the picture? A: Yes, that logo is the same as the one in the art, just with different values applied; it would be fine to use it. Q: Can we have a version of the lineart that is color-coded to differentiate between the Ebilia and Jaaku parts? I'm confused where one starts and the other ends. This piece really expands on the starting material to create a rich detailed scene. Quality: Karmazyna All elements of this piece are well considered and well executed in a very soft and flowing style. No detail is left undone. Color Usage: dragon24 This line-less piece uses wonderful soft colors and scratchy textures to create a very eerie atmosphere. We love all the additional details that add so much character to the pets. Creativity: Ferniio Fantastic rearrangement of the line art for a totally different mischievous scene! Originality of Media: eyabear Pixel-awesome! This is a really creative use of digital media, with clean color spaces and a great background considerations. Traditional Media: Mmamushi We love the funky colors and textures in this well produced marker piece! 13 and Under: AuroraWolf Clear lineless form of the Ebilia and Jaaku stand out nicely against the soft background. This piece is very well-produced in a minimalistic style! Honorable Mentions Zaefyra - Honorable Mention: Nice Pumpkin! This piece is full of fun additional details! Lutinofeather - Honorable Mention: Dressed up! Great lighting effects, costumes, and witty banter! SpazzyJenny - Honorable Mention: TROLOL This entry gets us thinking about a caption contest! luv2eatTacos - Honorable Mention: Wait, What? This entry takes mixed-media to the next level with: Rice, cotton balls, glitter, yarn and koolaid!

If I were to grid the line art and transfer it to a canvas, paint it, and photograph it would that be acceptable or does it have to be digital? Transferred lines to canvas or otherwise redrawn lines is acceptable. We'll need a digital photograph of the physical piece.
