A few things I've been curious about:

Is there any way to see the ratio of Merchants to Ranchers?

Is every single Cooking Basin recipe listed in a book? In other words, are there some recipes that are not listed somewhere and just have to be figured out through experimentation?

What exactly are the rules regarding recipes? I'm under the impression you're not supposed to ask for recipes publicly, but is that an actual written rule somewhere? And are you allowed to discuss recipes privately with friends, such as through rmail?

And finally, is there a database somewhere of all items that can be gotten through the Cooking Basin? Like a Res Wiki?

Not every rule can be written. It's just impossible to write everything into the rules that needs to be a rule. To allow recipes to be posted publicly would first be a spoiler, and second would ruin the value of the books they are contained in, and some of those books are really valuable. Not all recipes are contained in books, though. It is fine to discuss with friends through rmail.

I don't know of any way to see a ratio of ranchers to merchants.
